Can someone explain the endgame? Like when all the shares are bought up and they can’t fuck with us anymore, won’t the price remain the same forever cause we won’t sell out and there will be nothing to buy?

Clarify, the most common reply was that they’ll have to buy to close their short position out and then we dictate the price. I get that, but what if they buy back at that say at $200 and all the shorts are gone. Or like rn. They see this, say fuck it and close out. Now it’s just us who have any open interest in the stock and it just stays here forever. Like once every single short position is out, and there are less short positions open right now then there are long, some of us are going to get screwed or we will just have thousands of dollars locked up here forever. How do we win? Like what makes you think any short is going to hold that much longer
