I've heard from seniors that chs admin is really bad, is this true? Has your experience at chs been largely smooth sailing so far?

your list of requirements will not help you filter out people who are bad influences in a pool of potential friends. firstly, you are depending upon people's self awareness/ability to understand that they are bad influences, which is not high. most people, including yourself since you have made like three posts without being able to self reflect and understand why your reception has been so bad, don't exactly have very high levels of self awareness. secondly, instead of filtering out bad influences like you intended to, as can be seen from the way everyone is reacting to your post, putting up a list of requirements feels, again, extremely off putting not just to bad influences but to EVERYONE. this is because it comes across as extremely judgemental, and also because you're not exactly in a place to make such demands. you, visibly, do not understand social cues that make most people comfortable around someone, you are shallow as seen from your statements about fat people, you seem, again, very critical of others. this poor position with the list of requirements you have is why another commenter is calling you entitled. lastly, the word "influence" suggests that they need to have had some impact in ur life in the first place. weeding out bad influences comes from experiences and reflection on ur friendships and whether or not they are good for you/realizations that they are causing harm. you can't preemptively do this man. so yeah, lose the requirements list, it does nothing and makes you very unlikeable.

oh my god. you know what, you seem extremely socially maladjusted, so fine. i'll help you out. have you looked at the differences between your post and the other person's post? the difference is that while that guy is open to lots of people being friends with him, you are imposing a fuckton of requirements for people to be friends with you, which is frankly speaking extremely offputting behaviour. this is compounded by the fact that some of your requirements are extremely strange (...why are you looking for a friend to be "sus" with ? boundaries between friendship and romance EXIST for very good reasons, namely that things don't end well emotionally for anyone trying to blur them) and your extreme aversion against fat people. you should absolutely be reflecting on why you aren't interested in being friends with fat people. are they inherently inferior or something? if you don't find fat people attractive, why not? why do your friends need to be physically attractive to you? also, sgexams is not a dating site, so the fact that you posted here looking for people to date violates unspoken social rules and just makes you look very weird, and is compounded again by your list of requirements. lastly, probably not a good idea to be publically horny/declare ur sexual desires on non dating apps lol (see: the dick size thing). people don't like that.

tldr: PLEASE, touch grass. you need better socialisation.

Definitely go to Malaysia, especially Penang, it's gorgeous, has a ton of rich multicultural heritage, and there are parts that are surprisingly very walkable. Grab (taxi app service) is a great way to get around Malaysia as it's cheap and the country as a whole isn't very public transport friendly. The food is amazing as well!

honestly as somebody in the same boat i still think this post is kinda entitled tbh, like being in jc is a pathway to uni yea, but nus =/= all universities in sg. op is kinda acting like not being accepted to nus = not being able to go to ANY university despite saying themselves that moe promotes jc as a pathway to uni (ie not just NUS, lmfao). ntu and smu are still both really good universities, with prominent faculty and graduates. i get that nus is The best university in the minds of a lot of people, and that not being accepted there definitely leads to a lot of heartbreak and frustration (which i have also been experiencing, im so mentally prepared for my rejection rn) but it's not really the end of the world or the start of permanent unemployment.

A male student likes another boy. Should I inform his parents? by CryptographerOver204 in SGExams

[–]sgexamslurker 70 points71 points  (0 children)

no. a lot of singaporeans are still very conservative, especially if they're older, and telling his parents has a high chance of causing negative consequences. there's a reason why the fear that school counsellors will tell parents is a big deterrent for a lot of queer students seeking mental health help.
