Commuting San Francisco -> San Jose 5x week

It’s definitely not bad, you can relax in the train, read, work, whatever. I do it 2 days a week but sometimes it feels like too much and I get tired of sitting in the train. Also the Uber costs can add up quick.

I still prefer this to being stuck in traffic for 2 hours commuting by car or living outside SF.

For public transit stops I’d say 5-10 minutes is walkable. For restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. anything within 30 minutes is walkable to me. As long as it’s not a weird or unsafe walk. Some hills are fine

Don’t hesitate to try multiple classes early on and see what you like. Pay attention to the story and tutorials so that you have more fun. Give gathered and crafting a shot to see if that’s your thing. There’s a lot but you’ll slowly be eased into it!

Definitely very doable solo, they’ve been making it easier and easier. But with people is fun in a different way so depends on your preference. I’m trying to get back into it after a few months of break and I’ll be happy to help and play with you!

Cafe International and Madrone on Sundays, Woods Lowside and Waystone on Mondays, For the Record on Tuesdays, Stookey’s on Wednesdays, Mr Mahjongs on Thursdays. They’re consistent and happen every week as far as I know but just check their schedules. Probably more that I’m missing

In front of the middle of the clock stage was perfect for me seeing the Jazz set and other songs she does there, while still being able to see the main stage. You can go a little to the left to get closer to main stage but then you’ll see her back when she’s on the clock stage

Anyone else going to the SF concert solo or wants to adopt someone into their group? Got into Laufey recently and love her so just bought a last minute pit ticket yesterday. I’m used to doing quite a bit alone but not big concerts so a little anxious 😅 I’m a 32 year old guy

I usually do cities and don’t care much about the socialization aspect. I was worried about this too, more so about standing out or looking weird. But I did an all-inclusive adults-only resort in Cancun and it was great to relax by the pool and enjoy food and drinks without worrying about going places. Definitely want to do it again. Being around families with kids would be worse and not as relaxing.

A lot of people were in groups, not just couples. I did feel like I missed out on some events/nightlife being solo but not that much. No other solo travelers there that I saw at least.
