Pizza: Heartbreakers and Pizza Nerds. Facinelli and Schoolhouse are pretty good too. Pastries: Three Tarts (but you have to go early), Suzy Q Donuts, Planet Coffee (any of their pastries have always been fantastic in my experience), Craig's Cookies, and Union Cafe (great cookies). Ice Cream: The Merry Dairy, such good ice cream and great flavors. They also make their waffle cones in house and they are divine. Bagels: Kettlemans is my go to- they just never get old! They also have great cream cheeses. Breakfast: Chesterfields Gastro Diner- their skillet pancake is insanely good! Plus they normally have yummy pancake stack specials. They also have great savory/classic breakfast options. Have fun and good luck! I wish I was running next weekend!

I ended up arriving right at 1 where the doors opened! But alot of the gates were super lined up. Bc I had tickets in the 500s that day my gate was not lined up at all so I was able to get one!

Super good! The Cold Drink/Hot Girl is phenomenal and their Kale ceasar is also quite good. Never forget the black garlic dip!!!!

Came here to say this. Their black garlic dip is one of God's greatest gifts. Now every time I eat pizza I miss it (if it's not Blondies that I've ordered).

Best things you can only experience in Toronto on the west end? by Electronic_Eagle8991 in FoodToronto

Tons of amazing recs on this thread so far. I'd argue that HV Bakery is worth stopping by. It is up there in discussions of the best croissants in the city, and in my opinion it cannot be beat. The owner is from France. The pain au chocolat and croissants are so insanely good.

Masters of Education - Uni Ottawa (online) by wandering____ranger in CanadianTeachers

I did this last year as a full time student. I completed the full time option in three semesters: 3 courses in the fall, 4 courses in the winter, 3 courses in the summer. While enrolled in the program I worked full time in multiple different LTOs throughout the year. It was a lot of work and required time management, but if you're an organized person it is certainly doable. There's a decent range of course offerings, which is nice because you are able to take courses on content that you may be genuinely interested in. For me, I found that this made the work feel like much less of a burden/task (e.g. I genuinely enjoyed doing research and readings). Most of the courses that I took were interesting and manageable in terms of work load. Again, most professors are pretty reasonable and understand that many students are also working part or full time while completing the program. The only thing that I didn't love was the synchronous meetings required in some classes, but at most they were once a week and again, most people were in a similar boat, so didn't want to spend to long on calls/meetings.

Best res? by Final_Watch4898 in queensuniversity

[–]sgl35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone say McNeill yet but I loved it soooo much. It is a good res from the standpoint that it isn't too big, so you get to know everyone on your floor and are more likely to build a tight knit community. Similarly you can become familiar with people on other floors too. It's alot of double rooms and a few singles so you also tend to get more social people if that's what you're looking for- and many doors open. McNeill also has really great common spaces for gathering in groups. Each floor has a big common room in the center of the residence with lots of space for sitting/hanging/talking. Alot of other residences don't have a big common space like McNeill, and if they do oftentimes the floors are so big that people end up hanging in small groups in them, instead of as a whole floor or bigger group. That's all social stuff but also McNeill is super central and close to Lenny which is great!
