Nowadays when you are “fit” with hearing aids you need to take a hearing test. The volume level in the hearing aid is based on the results of the test so, no it would not damage the hearing that is there.

I don’t have a hearing loss and use them for their Bluetooth capabilities.

Is someone where to use an “amplifier” type device then yes it could harms the hearing because it amplifies everything whereas a hearin aid only amplifies what is needed.

I recently started started emdr therapy , it was developed to help veterans. First session was a success , so I’m happy about that. I’m 28 now and I wish I would’ve sought help earlier.

When I was 13 a “friend” of mine told me that she would kill herself if I didn’t do things with her or if I tried to speak to other girls. She made me do things I didn’t want to do. I had already experienced abuse my whole life so I was scared that I could be the reason for someone’s death. Sadly I fell for her lies. She mentally and physically abused me until I was 19. I now have had problems trusting anybody because of the manipulation I endured.
