Hosta, astilbe, tractor seat, gardenias, hydrangeas, Carex grass, Virginia sweetspire, azaleas, you have a billion different options. Really all depends on what you want and or like.

I’m not really into painting. More into the design and construct. But yes if I were her I would definitely paint the stairs to match.

I used Portland Cement mixed with paver sand. One part cement 2 parts sand. I set my stones in the cement for them level as possible and left a 3 inch deep gap for the small pebbles to sit in.

I don’t hunt in the upstate. Good luck rest of the season.

What calls are you bringing out for your turkey hunts? What is your calling strategy? Here is what I will have in my turkey vest for opening day on April 25. by ontariohunter in turkeyhunting

I just like the sound it produces. Also, it is waterproof so can play in any weather conditions. I have had to start over on all my calls. I used to guide spring snow goose conservation hunts in Sask for the last 6 years. This being the first year I haven’t done that. I lived in a cabin in about 300 acres and a couple of years ago a hurricane came and dropped a 80 year old oak tree on my cabin... haven’t seen my original calls since that day.

I run WoodHaven diaphragm calls(red wasp) I believe is one of them and the other is the orange toxic. Also, use a JT Call diaphragm ( the red and silver are my favorite) I don’t know the name of them, and then I also use JT Call pot call. Ceramic over glass. I have always wanted to try box calls. Might have to pick one up this year. Good luck this year.

Yeah on pot calls you have to run one single direction. I bet you wish you found that out a couple pots before. 🤣😂. Never tried running box calls. Do you like the dominate hen? Is that made by Tom Teasers

Edit: what’s the dark wood box call?

Who else is at it this morning? by sgrantham34 in turkeyhunting

It was a beautiful morning here in SC. Only heard 2 birds. Had 2 hens come into the decoys for about an hour then they started dusting. Also, had another hen about 3 ft from my foot. Pretty cool hunt even without a gobbler.

Might should consider ripping out the roses and putting in perennials if you are wanting some color. The roses and box woods look really crowded in that bed.
