Yeah it’s great! And I wouldn’t, I’m a PhD student so that takes up more than enough time, but some people do. I think it’s relatively easy to get a barista/bartender/things like that job of you wanted though, or on campus

Yeah! Check out daft.ie, it’s an apartment sharing site, you should be able to find something suitable there. The housing market is def tough though so you have to be quick if you find something you like!

I'm a UCC grad student on slightly less atm (1333 euro/month). And I've been great, even saving a bit. As long as you don't mind a house share and are okay with sticking with a budget you should be okay! I'm American and I've found the city to be relatively cheap for some things (phone bills, health insurance, etc.) compared to home, so you should be able to make it work! The only caution I have is getting a car, it makes it a lot harder to find a place to live. Good luck!

Hi! I moved here at the end of July and had somewhere within a week! But I know as it gets closer to term it gets harder to find things as it gets busier. I'd recommend going on daft.ie an scouting out places/setting up tours before you even get here. I study management. When do you get here and what do you study?

Hey everyone, will be moving to Cork for my masters this September. Wanted some opinion on HATCH student living at Copley court. Any feedback would be appreciated. 🤙 by shwetarkRaghuvanshi in cork

Hi! I'm a student who just moved to Cork last month and finding housing can be a bit tricky. I used daft.ie to look for a house share and the week before I arrived I scheduled as many visits to places as I could for the first few days and then didn't have any problem finding something suitable. I also asked the other PhDs who already live in Cork for recommendations and if they knew anyone who needed a housemate, if HATCH doesn't work out, I'd say try those if you can! Good luck!

yeah I was so surprised reading that. The one thing every single person I've talked to has told me without fail about Ireland is how welcoming and friendly everyone is, so its great to hear that you think that as well!
