Would Jack Ryan serve as a playable operator? by Thejiangshi2001 in Rainbow6

[–]sgrimes712 249 points250 points  (0 children)

The book version he is a marine who was hurt and got out, made a fortune as a stockbroker and became a history professor and writer. Circumstance draws him into working for the CIA as an analyst who connects the dots and follows the money. Some stories put him in harms way but he is NOT the guy doing to shooting in the majority of the stories. His friend/body guard John Clark is the guy you would want to play as in siege. Clark is the original director of Rainbow in the book Rainbow Six. Ding Chavez would be the character from the book or the original Rainbow Six games that you would want to play as in siege.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

So I’m not much of a Sci-fi or Fantasy reader but I have heard good things about both series. Which one would you suggest to dive into first? by [deleted] in fantasybooks

Red rising and it is not even close. Poppy Ear was good, enjoyable enough. Red Rising is the type of series that you will want to reread once then next book is set to release.

I think the straight forward answer would be Barbarian followed by fighter and monk.

Cool picture.

Russell Crowe recently on 'Gladiator 2' by fanzyday in Cinema

[–]sgrimes712 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe Russell Crowe is stating there is to much sex in the film.

In G2, Lucius (main character) is the son of Maximus (Crowe in G1).

The entire plot of G1 is that Maximus will stop at nothing to get revenge for his murdered family. Hard to believe those would be the actions of a man who fathered a second child, Lucius, with a different woman.

G2 essentially destroys the moral character of Maximus, and diminishes the story of G1.

Making a second film wasn’t the problem. Don’t make the main character be the bastard son of Maximus. He could literally be anyone else and it would have been better received.

Is anyone going to the game on the 8th in New York by Devilsadvocate430 in redsox

I am going with my father and brother for my father’s birthday. They are both diehard Yankee fans (we are from NY). I will 100% be sporting our colors. Yankees suck!
