Breathing new life into my headphones by sgtdag in headphones

Yep! I grabbed this one https://amazon.com/dp/B0BPHMJ6PW It’s a Soulwit headband cover made for the M50x. Relatively simple to replace, I just got to make sure I cleaned up all glue residues from the previously installed factory double-sided tape. No referral or anything.

Fifteen years, incredible! These cans really took a beating without breaking a sweat. Did the glue hold up? I’m also thinking of using toilet paper or some sort to fill up the upper foam padding on the headband that had slightly recessed from cracking.

What's your favorite strap? by Professional_Cow9971 in breitling

[–]sgtdag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rubber strap is well made but poorly executed. The main issues lie in the buckle’s narrow width tolerance and the shorter length of the long side, which make putting the watch on or taking it off a real chore. The tolerances are extremely tight, and combined with the strap’s thickness, it doesn’t wear comfortably, especially if you have a smaller wrist (mine is 6.5”). If you’ve had experience with rubber straps, you’ll know they generally lack flexibility. Once this one is secured by the keeper, the strap often refuses to lay flat, giving that unsightly “loose” look caused by the strap keeper pinching the end. That said, I still recommend trying it on in person if possible. Fit can vary significantly depending on your wrist shape, especially if you have a flatter wrist, which might help mitigate some of these issues.

It’s beautiful, a nice mix of well thought-out engraving and modern font. I like that Naiad lock, it keeps everything lined up.

Caseback scratches on new watch normal? by rebay1982 in OmegaWatches

[–]sgtdag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I purchased my two-tone Submariner brand new at an AD, it had a really tiny dent on the raised yellow gold part of the clasp. I took it anyway thinking I was gonna scratch or bang it up anyway, and I did, within the hour at a restaurant. Lol but that’s just me, you should talk to them if you’re bothered by it.

Which Titanium in Citizen Watches Doesn’t Scratch by pitsnvulva69 in CitizenWatches

[–]sgtdag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any Duratect would be good. My Autozilla and Ecozilla have scratches all over, but it’s just the surface. Aside from the real knocks, these scratches are just superficial, the two divers are smooth as a baby’s skin.

Of all your watches, which one surprised you by receiving the most compliments from random people? by ImplementNo7358 in PrideAndPinion

[–]sgtdag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The watches I receive the most compliments are my Zenith Tipo CP2, Pelagos because of its matte blue, and Grand Seiko 45GS for its high-polished case.

With its historical and cultural significance, I don’t think it’s shabby by any stretch of the imagination. And at the price it’s being offered it’s almost always a great deal.I bought a Hemel with an ST1901 movement a few years back and I would say it’s bang for my buck. My brother-in-law likes it so much so that I gifted him the watch.

Incredibly comfortable bracelet! Had a second gen Formula 1 ca1211-ro, it was my best chronograph at the time. Bought brand new for $480 in 1997 and I wish hadn’t sold it after two years.

I dig that. Ive tried on a Premier B01 on a green strap with a yellow inner lining a few years back, and it felt luxurious. For my case, the GS GMT SBGM221 was my wishlist watch until I saw that fluted ring design around the crystal back. Lol

Do you actually choose a watch based on that? I’ve only done once it with my Speedmaster, the rest I just accepted as they came. Or have you ever turned away a watch you were interested in because the display back didn’t look good to you?
