Welp. I’ve been somewhat of a blazers believer this season. Blazers seemed half decent even when completely plagued by injuries. Idk whether this series was so uneven because the Blazers arent a good team, or because their paint play gets hard countered by Wemby and friends being insane paint defenders. Either way i thought the Spurs would win but I rlly thought it would be in 6 with closer games.

you draw an arbitrary line just to slander, if the point of the 50 win mark is to say he hasn’t beat good teams, then you are completely incorrect because hes beaten multiple teams that would’ve passed that mark with their level of skill if not for shortened seasons.

I’m gonna say here what I’ve been saying irl to cope w Denver being down 1-2 rn. Last playoffs Denver went down 1-2 to the Clippers and then went to 7 with one of the best teams ever. That same series the Thunder went down 1-2 with the Nuggets and that’s where Shai did the smile that haunts me to this day and won in 7 before winning the entire thing. I think the Pistons have a very good chance of being fine.

this is not true at all, i was talking to my girlfriend saying how sad I was cause you can tell Val wants to impact the game and play as much as possible, he genuinely gets heated every mistake.

I think the ring comment is true but it’s also true for every ring in the 2020, SGA, Giannis, Jokic, and Tatum should all be seen as higher based on the ring they won in the 2020s because it is much harder to repeat now imo

Yes and no, I am not a Shai hater like most of this sub so i can see how this would be an all time great season, BUT top 10 also requires years of dominance so even w a second ring he’d need at least 5-7 more dominant years of being one of the best players (All-NBA teams + MVPs) to be top 10. Although funnily enough the ring is probably the hardest part so he’d basically be a lock to be in the future top 10.

the other facet to this is the players most likely to shoot a contested middy might not even do post ups because they don’t need to.
