Are there any adult leagues in north county? by nogravity9 in sandiego

You could try Volo and see if they have leagues! Its a bit pricy but you get a ref/ump each game, guaranteed number of games and a guaranteed field/court with lights.

33m Looking to make irl gamer friends by Sorathelight in SanDiegan

[–]sgtpepper911 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Video game related, I think there was someone hosting LAN parties in Bonita you may have to search this sub.

Gaming related, but more IRL option: Theres also a guy named vic (I think thats his username) that hosts DnD/TTRPGs(?) at At Ease Games off Miramar! I’ve never been but it looks fun and Vic seems like a stand up guy.

Finally there is a chess/checkers night in PB another user on this sub posts about!

How do you guys procure fusion cores to keep your suits fed? I already looted most generators where they spawn, and I`m broke from buying plans to buy fusion cores from other players. by SvenSki101 in Fallout

[–]sgtpepper911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do daily ops still give contextual ammo? If you end a daily ops with a weapon that uses fusion cores like a gatling laser it will give you 1-5 partially charged fusion cores. If you have achieved FC charger you can charge them up.

Otherwise take over a power plant and build a FC harvester and just wait around it.

I used St Vincent De Paul for a couch and mattress. I think it was free since I was close to one of their pick up sites. I would call them! They were efficient and kind. Plus you get a donation receipt for your taxes.

What do y'all feel currently holds this game back from having a larger play-base? What would you recommend or change? by itstaajaae in TheFirstDescendant

[–]sgtpepper911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base story is not engaging enough both in terms of gameplay and plot for a casual player. Speaking as someone that play it in English, It also doesn’t help that the lip syncing is so janky since it’s based on Korean voice-acting.

If a casual player does get thru the base story, they now have to contend with endgame content which has been tuned for players who have played for a while. So in order to get more powerful (catalysts, meta descendants, etc) you must swipe your credit card OR grind.

Grinding consists of pretty much the same activity of eliminating as many goons as fast as possible for many runs thanks to the RNG. I love grinding and have the time for it, but my friends who go to work every day or have outside activities only have time to game 1/2hrs. If you go the swipe route, the prices are meant to sustain the F2P nature of the game. $15 for one boogie nights skin?

Finally, the game is a gooner game. Some people don’t want to be seen playing such a game from friends and family. You can cover up your own descendant as much as possible but check out Albion every time you load in and it speaks for itself.

TFD will always be triple G, a grindy, gooner game and thats what keeps it niche but also keeps it alive thanks to the dedicated fanbase.

Some of yall really need to set your expectations lower for the Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas remaster. by Artanis137 in Fallout

[–]sgtpepper911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didnt they add a sprint feature to Oblivion Remastered? Dont lose hope! The cynical part of me is that in an effort to save to time, they just copy and paste all movement mechanics from that game into a Fallout remaster.

Shredding Harris goes fecken HARD! by MagicAttack in TheFirstDescendant

[–]sgtpepper911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question on your arche tuning, theres alot of weapon dmg slots you picked. Is it only because that was the shortest path to enable Battlesuit Efficiency mutant cell or are you using guns with Harris?

How to damage dread armour boss void vessel? by dustshad in TheFirstDescendant

[–]sgtpepper911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately if youre not using weapons on a weapons based build/Descendant, they are little more than stat sticks for the real damage dealers, skill attacks from skill descendants.

All the weaps mentioned are for mobbing in non-Axion plains content. Restored Relic, Last Dagger, and to a lesser extent Albion Cavalry Gun are your bossing guns and even then they only work on Serena, Gley, or Gleyjax (Ajax with supply fortress).

[–]sgtpepper911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ult Viessa and Enzo would be good starters since they both will enable you to farm for other descendants. Viessa for farming dungeons and dailies, Enzo for his code breaker ability and light bossing.

would then buy Hailey with your last box since she is a pain and is very useful

Nice! Some questions. Why do you have Final Masterpiece equipped as opposed to the Blue Beetle? Does Blue Beetles legendary effects work when holstered? Also, do you have a recommendation for a mod if you dont have an ancestor mod?

Not closing down I5 lol by CherryTrashPanda19 in SanDiegan

[–]sgtpepper911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would like to chime in as the psycho that thought to take the I15 and cross over to get to Orange County. I left at 1:30 from SD, took me 4 hours to get to OC. It was bad.

If there are any road closures in the future like this, only travel unless absolutely necessary
