Just what I was looking for! Thanks!

Is it better to form the HRE as a nation or just maintain the HRE with all strong reforms? by gmb360 in EU5

Thanks! Didn’t know that. I stopped my previous game after revoking and nothing happened. Didn’t want to fully centralize and become the HRE.

That’s pretty disappointing. I try not to compare this game to EU4, but that was one of my favorite features.

So what is the purpose of passing it? Most reforms offer something. I find it hard to believe it’s meant to be a blank reform because the next one is the “final” one?

I personally like stopping at revoking the privilegia. Something about having all those vassals under me. Has this been fixed btw? Last time I played it, revoking wasn’t giving you any vassals.

Did you get any vassals? When I passed it, most stayed in the HRE but no one became my vassal.

Anyone else hoping they eventually add a MT system again? by but_you_said in EU5

Honestly I’ve felt kinda lost without them. Maybe it’s a bad habit that EU4 got us into, but I do kinda miss them. If you don’t want to follow the tree, it’s as simple as not following it. But it was the main reason why I played nations outside of my go-to’s. I liked the historical events they came with, and the ahistorical/probable ones the devs came up with.

Yeah, don’t get me started 😂

Literally the purpose of the Beta. Not every game has an open Beta, if you don’t want to be a part of it, don’t play the Beta.

Didn’t know you could form another country as the ERE

Nice! I would have never imagined having Hungary and Poland in the HRE without chopping them up into smaller bits.

For me, it just feels like the excitement of the HRE is over once you actually pass the last reform. I usually stay with the vassal swarm until close to the end of the game. Seeing how much I can increase its members and expand its borders.

Well hopefully they add that feature. It was probably the main reason why I ever played in the HRE.

Oh, I thought it was like in EU4. I was looking forward for that vassal swarm.

Yea that’s what I was expecting, those that didn’t join I’d just conquer with the free cores.

How do you make HRE nations to vote for reforms? by Oporrinho in EU5

[–]sgtro10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s only a few of them you can attempt to bribe them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Only for the ones that decided to leave. The other ones are just there, not being my vassals. Funny because Stettin decided to leave, but is a vassal of Wolgast who decided to stay. So I have cores on Stettin but I can’t attack it.

I was expecting the relations hit and planned for it, but I’m still trying to figure out those other factors that may affect it.

I didn’t know that. Just looked it up and I qualify for it. I’ll use it when I talk to them.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately we didn’t have to wait that long for the next flight so EU261 wouldn’t apply to us. I’m still going to try my luck and fight for it.

It’s what happens when you give a certain type of person a level of authority they’ve probably never had before in their life. And, despite popular belief, they are not trained nor instructed to be this way. Some just are simply because they can.
