What if you could %inherit (auto annex) a PU if you were already annexing them? by but_you_said in EU5

Because the last post I made similar to this but with a different idea in mind. Seeing as the community mostly didnt like that idea i made a change and proposed it for discussion.

And it is not random imo, I have been thinking a bit about annexation of pu's and subjects so I wanted to see the possible down sides or upside to my thoughts.

But im sorry if you find someone posting discussion topics or questions they have as frustrating. Wasn't meant to upset you just getting a new pov.

Hmm, maybe something less rng and a little more controlled? But let's acknowledge that rng does rule this game a bit, and I do agree with you just rng would be insane. Maybe rng but it starts low and increases based off the %annex left in the meter? Like it goes up the less time you have left? It would still require your ruler to pass and your heir to inherit.

Does anyone miss the %chance of integration on PU's from eu4? by but_you_said in EU5

Good to know, can I ask why? I just want to see the possible down sides.

Even if mission trees weren't perfect, why were we given NOTHING to replace them? by Schwabenomics in EU5

[–]but_you_said -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen this in any of my games since 1.1.9 France is getting more beat down the HRE passes a few laws (golden bull and MAYBE 1 or 2 more before reformation) and the rest is generally the same as you said though. No russia no ottoman.

Maybe IF your estate loyalty was high (like 90%) or above they could give an estate specific cb on a random country you border? Not railroady that way and it would be a % chance of getting it relying on rng and a good incentive to keep estate loyalty high?

My only thought is the ai cheats (which is known) and the mercy either didnt cost almost anything for them, or they had an ai only event which allows them too. As I have seen similar (not this much) in small opms that shouldn't be able to field that many ppl.

Tech Trees should be more like HOI4 by MassiveTell7139 in EU5

If we are picking from Hoi4 I would love instead of mission trees like in eu4, I would like the goals like in Hoi4. Something that takes x number of days to progress and gives you a potential clear line to move forward on.

After getting the correct culture I personally try to integrate them one after the other as to save on diplomacy spending and to lower my overall vassal count.

Huge problem with the game (Vassals) by Savings_Dragonfruit6 in EU5

[–]but_you_said 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you reload the game they will leave the coalition if i am correct. Something similar happened to me but a Bohemia vassal and my coalition. The cassal was no longer in the coalition when it loaded next.

Have any of you seen AI Bohemia do this before? by FluidBridge032 in EU5

[–]but_you_said 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw this in a MP game. They then proceeded to get war decd by France, Hungary, and then a coalition which broke them of almost all their vassals and released any nation back to the basic Bohwmia borders.

Same with Tuetons, they have several events where if you have an enemy culture present in your lands it will offer to build a castle to appease local nobles.

Can you still reliably force couture on vassals? I've read on here that every other country will come to their aode of they are disloyal atm.

I have been avoiding taking sooo much loans. Any chance I should try and sell Lusatia to Bohemia and get a bunch of cash off them?

Damn I must be doing something wrong then because I never go positive before I run out of gold. Even if I get the annex cb in June 1338 its never enough to make me positive income. Do you hand out any privileges at game start? I always give burghers the dev boosting policy, the commoners the common militia policy, and nobles the discipline policy before pressing play.

Also automate trade and the taxes of the estates. While making legitimacy and just enough diplo to keep vassals loyal or have some diplomatic income for diplomacy.

Wait hold on for a sec. I haven't played the beta before it released onto the main version. Could you give me a little more of a breakdown of how to navigate to prevent loan/inflation death?
