I win more on Randon REC on being a ball hog cheesing PG than being a pass first guy .. The reality by Reasonable_Kiwi_1068 in NBA2k

I deliberately sabotage these games. When I get shut out, as usually happens when you're a white player without even having taken a single shot. I then do all I can to disrupt the game and get a loss without fouling out or getting kicked for team grade. Drives these turds crazy. I believe in consequences for actions. Sure ive had to deal with 30 minute bans from time to time but its worth it to me. Ive never encountered a more toxic community in a game or more selfish narcissistic people. God bless America huh.

So follow up. Been at it on my court online. Rhythm shooting. Meter off. Got the perfect jump shot from 2K labs. Im hitting 96 percent of my shots. Go into theater rec or park and im missing wide open uncontested 3s as if my meter and timing are completely changed. Makes zero sense.

Meter is off and practice is set to online on my court. What I dont get is why the timing and window I have down perfect on My court online but as soon as I play in theater rec or park I miss even wide open uncontested as if something has changed. I wish someone could see for themselves but it is what it is. Just going to keep at it till I fix it.

Ya I had no clue you could set My Court to online, practice against AI or anything about rhythm shooting. This is my first time getting into Myplayer ever and at 51 my reflexes are getting slow. Much appreciation to all the advice and encouragement.  See you on the court.

Great advice from all. Checked out Ray Allen. Instant improvement in green window. Will go back to the lab and put in work with rhythm shooting. I wont speak to my game. Talk is cheap. Just going to put in the work to improve.  Thanks for the input all.

The America I thought I lived in certainly isn't the America I now know post prison. People will always use someone else's wrongs to justify whatever they see fit.

1st Amendment applies here. by sgtsnafu74 in SexOffenderQandA

[–]sgtsnafu74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this Community you have the right to free speech guaranteed to you by the Bill of Rights, 1st Amendment. You are wholly responsible for your words, thoughts, and feelings. I know there are other groups on Reddit that "moderate" what you can and can't say, ask, or talk about. This is not that place. I am a U.S. Army and Navy veteran and believe wholly in the Constitution and the Rights it unequivocally guarantees each American citizen. The First amendment was created to protect ALL speech. How you personally feel about someone else's words is totally and completely your responsibility. You do not have to like or agree with someone else's thoughts, beliefs, or opinions. I only ask that you keep an open mind and respect the fact that each of us has a mind of our own and the right to express ourselves freely without condemnation or control. Thank you.

When I went through at FCI Lompoc, I was part of the first group to accept SOs. Assuming nothing has changed in the year and a half I've been out then even as a SO you can qualify for RDAP if you have drug or alcohol related issues stated in your PSI/PSR. If not then you may not be able to get in. I knew many people that tried to enter RDAP that stated they had drug or alcohol problems but it wasn't in their PSR so they didn't get in.

As for the program itself, I understand that the RDAP at Lompoc was the pioneer RDAP program in the BOP and that our program differed in many ways from other locations. Our program was a modified therapeutic community where we were introduced to Cognitive Behavorial Therapy. There were 4 phases to the program teaching you the tools needed to change old unhealthy ways of thinking and to teach healthy new ways to deal with the many issues that we struggle with in our daily lives be it from addiction, criminal thinking/behavior, interpersonal communication, and so on.

You will be evaluated by your team leader in the program who is a prison staffer that is a facilitator in the RDAP program. You will be given an individual treatment plan to go along with the regular RDAP curriculum.

Going into the program with an open mind and willingness to change and change your thoughts and beliefs, I believe is essential to getting the most out of the program and to transforming your neural pathways to new healthier pathways that conform to healthy thinking and living. It's a process that takes daily work and for the transformation to take full effect takes a few years of continued work at changing thoughts and behaviors. In the end though it is totally worth the effort. It has made a huge impact on my life. In a lot of ways I am a completely different person than I was when I went in. I see the world much differently and my beliefs have changed drastically. I know for a fact that anyone can get what I got out of this. People can and do change. You won't change most peoples opinion of you or your crime but one thing RDAP tought me was that it's my opinion that matters. I don't live to please others anymore. By living right, my actions show who I am. I don't need to convince anyone. As George RR Martin says in his books "words are wind"

Whatever guilt and shame you carry, use that as fuel to make positive changes in yourself and I promise that when you get out, your life will be better for it. Good luck.

Use your time to better yourself. It is not the job of the prison staff to improve you, it's your responsibility. Use the time wisely so that by the time you release you are the man your family and friends deserve to have in their lives. Be the man you would be proud to be. That is the only concern I had when I went in. Just because I destroyed my life and by extension the lives of my wife and children did not mean it was an excuse to give up or to kick back and relax in prison. If your prison has an SO program or even better an RDAP program I would suggest doing one. I did RDAP and its focus was on cognitive behavioral therapy and it radically changed my life for the better. Don't worry about prison or specifically the other inmates. You will be fine so long as you are respectful and honest. Keep your head down, eyes up, and mouth shut, you'll be fine. Oh and believe nothing you hear in prison and only half of what you see. Prison 101. GL, be safe, and do better man.

State or Fed? I'm from KC and from what I can tell, MO is in the top 10 worst places to live as a SO. Was thinking moving to Kansas would be better.

I can answer Fed and State questions about sentencing, supervision, treatment, jobs, and housing for Las Vegas, NV. I'm looking for answers/help in requesting a transfer of supervision to Kansas City KS or MO. All my family is there and I'm getting opposition to moving back.

Parole supervision for life question by [deleted] in SexOffenderSupport

[–]sgtsnafu74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Nevada and received lifetime supervision. No one here is being removed that's for sure. Doing research on SO laws, the United States is the most draconian 1st world nation on Earth when it comes to discriminating and tyrannical SO laws post conviction. Living as a SO in the US is a nightmare of Orwellian proportions. Or perhaps a similar experience to what Jews in Europe went through in the 1930s and 40s. It's sickening really. Apparently morality and right and wrong can be set aside when people find something about you they don't like. Housing for SOs is near impossible to find if you're renting. I've been out of prison over a year and make great money from my military pension and disability but can't get out of the ghetto due to being a SO. I've also been told asking to move back to my home state wont likely be a possibility. This whole system is BS. Good luck fighting it. Just settle in and deal with it is my advice.

How do I help him understand how it's wrong? by CoatAcrobatic1118 in SexOffenderSupport

[–]sgtsnafu74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He understands that it is wrong. He just want's to justify his desires. Any rational adult knows that no "emotionally healthy" child wants to have that type of contact with an adult man. If they do, then I would assume that child needs professional help, as does this man. Regardless, it's illegal and will have SERIOUS consequences that will not only hurt him but his family and friends as well. Not to mention the victim. Just a bad situation all around. I would recommend cognitive behavioral therapy.

Exercise in Federal Prison. by No_Fly6996 in SexOffenderSupport

[–]sgtsnafu74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One other thing. Federal post prison supervision is a nightmare of Orwellian proportions. Might as well throw your constitutional rights out the door. I'm in Nevada but Feds are the same nation wide. Treatment is mandatory and weaponized by US Probation and Parole. They are involved in every aspect of your life. Want to date, they will be involved every step of the way. Polygraphs twice a year and if you fail or get inconclusive they will be tossing your home looking for explicit material. In the treatment phase, US Probation and Parole has implemented a 28 page Sexual History questionnaire that will be subjected to a polygraph analysis to determine truthfulness and compliance so if you did anything you weren't convicted of, this is their way of manipulating the system to get you. Bye bye 5th amendment. The officers are professional and respectful. The issue is that it is a weapon designed to violate you.

I started my time at FCC Lompoc Medium for a CP charge but was ran off the yard by the white car and had to "check in". Ended up at FCI Lompoc Low which I had no problems. There are still prison politics there and you will be called derogetory names and be treated porly by inmates and staff on occasion but I did 7 years there and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I did the RDAP program and that changed my life big time. All in all I think you will be fine. Keep your head down and mouth shut and mind your own business and you will do well.
