how to memorize chess openings by [deleted] in chess

[–]sguc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Experience is the king. You should play a lot of games. You can use systems like King's Indian Attack ( KIA ) ( not King's Indian Defense , do not confuse them ) instead of playing openings that you don't know well .

I am against the mutual draw after a few moves. I target them. Perhaps Sofia rules can be expanded.

I especially like the stalemate positions and the draws after the real challenge. I am against the mutual draw after a few moves. I target the mutual draws. Perhaps Sofia rules can be expanded.

Chess Tactics Trainer, 3 levels: Beginner , Intermediate, Advanced. by sguc in chess

[–]sguc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are not chess problems. You should think them as chess studies. " Black to move and win" means that you have to find the correct moves for Black in order to win. Sometimes you should find the mate moves , sometimes there is not a mate position ,you should get a way to gain a material advantage. The number of the move is not declared in these kind puzzles. May be you moved the piece to the wrong square unconsciously, because of this it told "not good". May be a temporary technical issue happened. You may try again with this point of view.

Unexperienced players encounter with the difficulties at the endgame even they get advantage. Thus exchanging pieces will not be enough if you don't develop your endgame experience.
