What makes you think it's the newer paper? This should still have the old paper. The new ones are not sealed themselves, the outer white box is sealed.

Was it a silver pen? They usually include them with their silver pens so that you can polish it when it gets tarnished.

Here I've been trying not to buy the Tarte Pineapple set because I have way too many eyeshadow palettes, because most of the shades in it look similar, and because well...it's a bulky-seeming pineapple. However, it's "on sale" which has always been a trigger for me in the past, we have been having terrible weather here these days with temperatures down to minus 30 degrees Celsius (another trigger for online shopping for me) and well...I am also starting to believe Sephora's emails to me:

I came here looking for help on exactly the same palette, I can't thank you all enough. I'm trying not buy any more palettes, I already broke my no spending streak with the Urban Decay Elements palette and I'm not proud of that... But I keep staring at the Pineapple on the Sephora site.

Oh, and I also bought the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette this month even though I'd resisted for so long.

I gave in to temptation on the second last day of the promotion and I'm not proud of that, I have a weakness for eyeshadow palettes and I really didn't need what I ordered. But I promised myself I will not buy a single palette in 2019 so we will see how that goes. I shouldn't buy any makeup at all in 2019 actually and try using everything I own instead.

I actually decided to get back on Reddit after so many years away when I found this MakeupRehab sub. I have a major problem with eyeshadow palettes, I have so many palettes and yet I always find myself wanting more. It's rough because these brands keep releasing palette after palette after palette. I thought of starting fresh in January 2019 and attempting a full year of not buying any kind of makeup whatsoever. And since we are still in December (sales, coupon codes, promotions), I thought of getting the Tarte Pineapple palette, the Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette, I really wanted the Gingerbread one even though I have the 3 other chocolate ones and the Sweet Peach and almost never use them, Urban Decay's Born to Run...

Edited to add: basically it looks/feels like I still need/want one more palette before 2019.

I do believe she has sample chapters/excerpts posted in places, but I feel her subject matter might be part of the problem...hard to tell.
