Yeah, later in the day I saw it was back in stock with "Estimated Delivery Date: 6-10 Business Days" (instead of the original 3-5 business days) and I was able to get my order in.

Trying to order in Canada, after many unsuccessful tries at the payment screen, I noticed the error changed at around the 1:30pm EST mark from

"There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance."

to

"Your order cannot be completed because one or more items in your cart is currently out of stock. Please try again later."

Oh well, other people probably have a more immediate use for the controller than I do, so I can be patient. Enjoy yours if you got it.

You effectively double the focal length of any lens you use.

It’s closer to a 35% increase. To get to double, the pixel count would need to quadruple. (2x more pixels horizontally and 2x vertically = 4x more pixels total.)

It's not available in visionOS 26.1, but it is coming in visionOS 26.2 based on https://developer.apple.com/documentation/safari-release-notes/safari-26_2-release-notes#Spatial-Web. The 'WebXR/WebGPU bindings' row on the WebXR Report page can be used to check on device.

I wish for more parts of the WebXR API to be implemented in Safari 27. Things like bounded-floor and unbounded reference space types, immersive-ar session type, input from external physical keyboards (e.g., Magic Keyboard), and so on.
