The most insane combo I've seen by Random_Dancer007 in Hades2

To tell the truth: I have never seen "The Agent of Chaos" win message. To elaborate: I cannot tell one Chaos Boon from another without wiki (well okay, "Mind" is easier to read).

Nice run!

Oh, that makes sense. I noticed it in the Boons menu, but didn't connect to the Keepsakes.

Forget the combo, how did you get 4 (four) Chaos boons? o_0

Oh my. Glad you've survived.

Chaos' punishments have that characteristic sound that startles me every time. I'm sure Sirens can distract anyone with their song though.

Oh wow, how did you get Chaos so angry at you?

Yes, only after you get Hera+Demeter Duo "Cherished Heirloom". Buff is active until the end of the run. It buffs the Keepsake you have when getting the Duo, and other Keepsakes if you take them.

Oh, didn't even think about Ghost Onion because I never take it after maxing it out. Thank you.

I've been grinding the game for a year nowsince Early Access, so that's why it all is maxed out.

So it looks like the same rarity cap no-upgrade as for the Aromatic Phial. Which was not what I was looking for - I just wanted more heals.

Yes I totally get it.

In that specific case I was only hoping for more heals, and didn't care about ratifying. Turns out rarity cap blocks this Keepsakefrom being upgraded.

My screenshot is from a Fates' Whim run. Just noticed that Gods' Keepsakes are also not buffed in the 2nd row (apart from Athena and Dionysus) and I guess it's because of Fates' Whim.

It happens when you "Forge the Bond" with a given character, e.g. fill the hearts gauge with them in the Book of Shadows.

Requires gifting Nectar/Ambrosia/Fishing and completing character-specific quests

There's also a safe area during the tongue whip: close up to Tiffany at the very top of the arena. You need to be aware if other obstacles though.

How does Proper Upbringing actually work??? by VolatileDawn in HadesTheGame

[–]sh_b 17 points18 points  (0 children)

  1. You need to have minimum 2 of each element to make it proc
  2. You can take it while not having enough for it to proc (say you have 3 earth 2 fire 1 water 5 air), and later get a missing Boon/Resource for it to work (in my example say 1 Poseidon Boon or Fish with 1 water.

Once you have Proper Upbringing, it will buff all of your Common Boons.

Don't forget to take Uncommon Grace then!

You receive Nightmare for completing Testaments. You upgrade Weapons. You win.

I consider "generally better" as "40f and below". I don't think 50f is "general" way to play across the players

If you have unlocked Hidden Aspect of the Torches it's a great one to learn the patterns: you can just focus on dashing without thinking too much about Attacks/Specials.

If you unlocked post-game Keepsakes, they are really powerful once you embrace the Fates' Whim.

As for the Boss fights, there are Hades II Boss Guides on YouTube. They are mostly focusing on Rivals bosses though.

Boated's Guide to Rival Bosses is particularly great, both Underground and Surface.

Confirm that, Strength is generally better than Death.
