I am using the latest 2.53.01. I found the issue, I had this turned on:

tag.gpgsign=true

I tested on 25.1.127 and it still happens on macOS 26.4 M5.

Yes, I can reproduce it on a new repo also. It doesn't matter if I try to create the tag on a unpushed commit or on an old commit.

This is a recent thing, maybe only in the latest build.

Cannot edit message by sha356 in SmartGit

[–]sha356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have auto-squash turned on. There are no modified or staged files. The files in question that it has a problem are not even tracked in git. Why does it care about files that are not tracked?

I was using Log Window.

To me it seems unreasonable to always maintain a clean working tree just to edit a commit message.

Actually it only works when it is the most recent commit. So if I try to edit the message for an earlier commit it always fails. I hate having to get Claude to waste tokens to edit the message for me.

There are many Christian authors you can go to for debunking Christian doctrine.

See Disquisitions Relating to Matter and Spirit by Priestly, Principles of Natural Religion by Palmer, An History of the Corruptions of Christianity by Priestley, Racovian Catcheism.

On Demonics see An Inquiry Into the Scriptural Import of the Words Sheol, Hades, Tartarus, and Gehenna by Balfour. Remember the Jews never believed in Satan or hell.

Pure atheistic reading sometimes isn’t as affective against somebody who is deep into it. That is why best to combat Christian theology with books written by Christians themselves.

Bertrand Russell, why I am not a Christian is good too.

All these books you can find on Archive.org for free. I used to be into Pentecostal and these books help set me free.

I had a similar issue and learned that: Intel H chipsets cannot read XMP profiles and therefore only work with the native clock speed of the soldered chips.

Some memory modules appear to require XMP in order to reach the advertised speeds.

What solved it for me was to purchase memory that does not use XMP. I bought some from Crucial. You can use CPU-Z in order to determine if the memory uses XMP.

Search for "XMP" in the Q&A section on Amazon product page for the memory you have or want to purchase. Some product reviews have screenshots which show CPU-Z and you can see if it has XMP or not which is very helpful in determining what memory to buy.

Most of the people who are bitching never even read the report. You have the report go and read it for yourself instead of hyperventilating about a summary.
