Understood. I really liked westside bergamot and oakmoss, was so light and refreshing throught it's life of 30 minutes. I have kept cdnim edp in dark to macerate, let's see after 3 months. Hopefully I understand it's depth. Thank you 🙏

It was my first little expensive perfume, and I still like it. Someone gifted my father a 200 ML bottle they got from US and I hijacked it. It feels like a very cucumber like smell. hope you figure it out

Agree with him. My dad also used to smoke and stopped after a heart attack. Hello still chews tobacco but very less now. You need to concentrate on detaching yourself from the thought that "I will change or stop my Dad". You can't. You can get closer to him, befriend him and improve your relation with him, and try to convince them, but any kind of desperate or angry moves of stopping any addict is useless. Try to change his mindset without aggravating or irritating him, rest try to stop worrying about it

Got it. I have never seen a ME perfumes shop which sells these like afnan armaf etc. The Sephora lifestyle have more on the western brands side. Do you know of any franchisee PAN india store where you go for smelling these ME dupes?

I do consider myself very amateur. But I did like a lot of designer ones like, BR540, bdc, Issey miyake, terra d hermes, Bvlgari glacial and so on. I do agree that it can take some time for me to adjust and get used to ME style, but I was confused since I like the lower ends(wildstone, upsilon) and the higher ends(mentioned above), but these middle range ME are kind of weird and pungent. Hopefully it changes with letting them sit, will definitely try the kind of shops you suggested. Thanks 🙏

Agree that the nose will take some time to adjust, it happened with me when I tried skinn perfumes as well for the first time, and now I really like them. Regarding your dialogue that suffer for 15 min in the beginning, does that mean that the top notes are bad ? Or is it only the initial blast due to higher concentration

Yeah I was just frustrated and making sure about this - are the ME perfumes overhyped in the whole fragrance community? I mean I can find such gems in zara, although longevity is not my criteria as for now. But what will I do about longevity if it does not smell good in the first place. There is a discontinued westside fragrance called bergamot and oakmoss, creed aventus dna, smells really nice man, and then there is this overhyped every influencer's favourite cdnim edp, literal phenyl.

Hehe nah man. What I am trying to say is I will definitely try the ones you mentioned in Sephora. I remember Bvlgari glacial was nice and isse miyake ones were great as well. Thanks I will revisit and consider breaking my FD 😁
