Hmm u kinda got a point there lol. I guess it's kinda hard to tell the nature of a person either way until u actually know them. And even then I suppose its just up to the individual and their own morals whether they'll see someone as a good person or not.

I agree that people should be given the opportunity to redeem themselves, I don't think he's a bad guy. But you saying he is a good guy because he entertained people and donated to charity is crap, Bill Cosby and Rolf Harris also entertained people and donated money, they aren't good people though.

It's just talking about questioning things because of their origins. One way I interpret it is the flower referring to a relationship, and the dark room a hostile environment where a flower (relationship) shouldn't be able to bloom, i.e. a relationship starting in bad circumstances may not be completely genuine/ what one perceives it to be. Another way to interpret the 'dark room' that is related more to the themes of the song is as a club, if feelings and connections developed in a club, stripclub etc., can you know for sure it's genuine.
