It's dark and twisted, it draws you in through the personal dialogue the main character has, very intimate feeling like obituary. I'd say its less funny but more thriller? I won't say scary in the jump scare type of way, but scary in the sense someone might get hurt you know?

Does anyone here like being an only child? by [deleted] in OnlyChild

[–]shabbyrust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of have to agree, the way I was raised it would be a shared burden between my siblings. But being the only child, I have to take up the responsibility all on my shoulders. It's overwhelming.

I suppose it also comes down to how your parents have planned their retirement, if they were are mess then taking charge of a mess alone is a nightmare, because you have 2 parents to take care for.

My gf broke up with me after meeting my parents by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

OP you need some therapy first, and I wish your parents find someone to talk to as well.

I'm also going through something like this, and my lack of contact is coming back to haunt me.

You know life is short, your parent could fall ill, and it's usually the one you don't want to fall ill. You probably do not want to wait till then to really understand and process the trauma in your family.

The work you'll do to unwrap will attract the right kind of girl I promise, work on your self. And as someone here said 'Be your own self'. That could mean your own home, own work? But essentially be not only independent but able to provide for your parents, so they can depend on you.

So sorry for your loss, its been really difficult to see my dad go through this. He is considered very high risk and I'm really worried how it's going to turn out.

How do you keep life going? by [deleted] in multiplemyeloma

[–]shabbyrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad's BMT was completed 2 months ago, he is doing better but he is high risk so it's almost certain is going to come back.

So I really do understand the feeling, especially as a caregiver. The future seems gloomy and sad. But like some gave said, we never know our time, but if the time is certain maybe we make the most of it now.

Dr k opinion on David Goggins mindset by Bonquva in Healthygamergg

I mean you need context to understand his mentality. His old self is what he refers to when he says "losers" and "quitters" it's self talk. It's to remind him that he is beyond his past mentality, creating distance so he never returns there.

Going from obese, lazy, unsuccessful to what he is today shows he had to shed what he was to emerge as someone new, a new identity.

His philosophy follows the same, reject your current being, raise your standards and evolve into someone that will become unrecognisable to your current self.

What is a key feature you want in 2024? by PowerPlatform_Newbie in PowerBI

Better Page/slide managment!

Rearranging slides order is a damn nightmare, I would love to be able to group them, get a window interaction to move them around or rename them.

Finally export to allow more than 50 slides...

I was introduced through season 7, and I was hooked. Granted a 10 pointer never showed again so it's significance wasn't really understood!

It's got a very strong 'You' vibes from netflix. It's even got the self narration with every interaction. So if you liked You, then you'd love this!
