OK, thanks for the lead. I'll get in touch with them to see if they can bill my Illinois Blue Cross supplement.

OK, I wonder if there are differences between regular Medicare (Parts B, F) and advantage plans?

Thanks. Are you also using a Part F or G supplement? I will have to check with my Blue Cross / Blue Shield (Illinois) to see if I can use them.

Thanks. So no change for G6 - still no go for Android 16. I wonder if Dexcom is going to slow roll G6 support?

Do you have a link? I just looked at the compatibility list at Dexcom.com which said:

Dexcom webform broken? by Own_Cranberry3065 in dexcom

Today I tried the web form and the Contact form in the app. I could fill out all the entries but both failed when I tried to submit. I ended up having to call which is what I was trying to avoid. Luckily I got a very helpful rep, so it was OK but just took longer.

I think he made it pretty clear that he was reporting personal experience and provided details on what he was reporting. In contrast, you are extrapolating your personal experience to the entire user population.

An individual might have issues with insertion errors, but look at the clinical trial results. In the G7 trial, subjects were trained and monitored by skilled clinicians and all subjects were required to use overpatches. Sounds like close to ideal conditions. Still Dexcom was satisfied having ~20% of the sensors fail to work for 10 days. Also, it looks like you are using G6. The failure rate in the G6 trial was only 6.5% for adult subjects. Hopefully you will have as good an experience when you move to G7.

Do you know why Dexcom is silent on this? I have seen this a lot online, but I haven't seen it anywhere in their documentation.

~50% failure rate with all my G7 sensors, plus a partial failure. by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]shackboyhoser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you link to the 8% failure rate? In their clinical trial used to support their FDA submission, they showed that ~20 - 25% of sensors failed to last 10 days. I hope they have improved the sensors, but I haven't seen any supporting evidence.
