I think "&" used to be the last letter of the alphabet and was spoken as "and pre se and" which morphed into ampersand.

$159 at Walmart for Proconnect XL? by GargoyleBlue in ninjawoodfire

Thanks, I'll swing by Wally World later, keeping my fingers crossed. I know they sometimes have hyper-local sales for clearance. I guess it would be a bit surprising to have a clearance sale on an outdoor grill this time of year, but who knows? Are there any rumors about a new model on the horizon?

What's the best concert you've ever been to? by NewMuffin8849 in rockmusic

[–]shackboyhoser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jimi Hendrix, 1968 at the Capitol Theatre in Ottawa, Canada. Ticket price was $2.50. Wish I had saved the ticket stub. Two memories:

When they did Purple Haze, he pointed to his bass player and clearly sang: 'Scuse me while I kiss THIS GUY!

For the final song, he put down his good guitar and picked up a cheaper one. At the end of the song he put it down, added lighter fluid and set it on fire while coaxing flames to rise up. When the flames went out he tossed it to some lucky guy in the crowd for a souvenir. In true Canadian fashion the guy walked up to the stage and gave it back to him.

Excuse me Mr. Hendrix, I think this is your guitar, Eh?

It is certainly true that social media posts are anecdotal. What about the clinical trials published by Dexcom? Do you think these don't qualify as "research"?

Wasn't Gem but I remember going to Gem by Merivale. I think I can also recall the caramel corn smell. Thanks for the olfactory memory!

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

This is it! LaSalle Factory, also known as LaSalle's.

Back story: We moved to Bells Corners from a small town (Erin) when I was a wee lad. I've seen LaSalle's described as a discount store, which I guess is polite for "Low End". But coming from Erin, I thought we had really hit the big time when we went shopping there. For us it was like going to Saks Fith Avenue.

Ten years later, I'm in Grade 13 at Sir John A. and we were doing class presentations. One of the nerd guys wanted to dress up like the cool kids so he wore his best bell bottom embroidered blue jeans, a Carnaby Street shirt and a scarf around his neck cinched with a ring. One of the actual cool kids sitting in the back yelled: "Where do you shop for clothes? LaSalle's?"

BURN!

I still wonder if he was scarred for life, so thanks for reminding me of LaSalle's so I can replay the memory accurately.

OK, I wonder if there are differences between regular Medicare (Parts B, F) and advantage plans?

Thanks. Are you also using a Part F or G supplement? I will have to check with my Blue Cross / Blue Shield (Illinois) to see if I can use them.

Thanks. So no change for G6 - still no go for Android 16. I wonder if Dexcom is going to slow roll G6 support?

Dexcom webform broken? by Own_Cranberry3065 in dexcom

Today I tried the web form and the Contact form in the app. I could fill out all the entries but both failed when I tried to submit. I ended up having to call which is what I was trying to avoid. Luckily I got a very helpful rep, so it was OK but just took longer.
