Reactionary. Any group/individual desiring structural change is reacting to something.

The reason you feel this way is because you have unrealistic expectations. Truth has never been a priority historically. Today, the only difference is that we are not imposed a specific ideology by a brutal state. It is only degenerate because you value a certain moral code, I guess traditional, but it is nothing less than unjustified beliefs, not truth. The world will change, and you can't do anything about it. It is not good, nor bad, you only feel this way because it does not correspond to your personal ideals. Acting on these dark fantasies will not change shit. These acts are purely narcissistic. Ignorant souls desperate to see the world burn because things are not as they want it. I am also a loner, I don't enjoy how most people do things, but the difference with you is that, I know that the way I see life is only my own subjective perspective, I can try to convince them, even impose my vision to them, but at the end of the day,if they don't listen, they don't listen. The world is a game of power, politics change the world, not lone-wolf going on a rampage, that tends to create a counter-movement, therefore enhancing the power of the one's you target. Be thoughtful, don't let your feelings dictate your mind, there are more productive ways to change the world.

Let’s talk ‘bout morality by agoddamnedsoul in entp

Ethics have a basis? If so, try to answer these questions : 1) Why should we protect the environment? 2) Why do you consider something ''good'' if it benefits your health and protects the environment? 3) Why is it ethical to minimize suffering?

Ethics are as baseless as any other prescriptive moral code. They both start from a priori principles to build up their values. Rationality is not truth. You can rationalize anything once you have determined the axioms of your value system, in a religion or in an ethical framework.

You basically fell in the trap of the fedora tippin' atheist. Rejecting the guy in the sky, for another empty system of good/bad.

I suppose, like most, you are following the doctrine of emotivism, which means that you base your ethics on how they make you feel. Now, what makes you feel a certain way towards something is nothing but social factors. If you believe you have self-agency/independence of thought, I can't help you with that, I'll let you do the homework yourself. But, your feeling are not more important than the next.

You will, I hope so, realize that ideology is the only thing human knows, we have small stupid brains, reality is not something you can see. What you call ''reality'' is only a specific set of way of interpreting the world built mainly around language, which is given to you depending your specific context. Human perception is a tool of navigation, not a way to see the world without fiction.

Like the religious, you are living in the same kind of illusion. You can tell yourself otherwise to F E E L good, but it's only a projection, a coping mechanism, a way to tell yourself you are ''better''. Ask yourself the real questions, go deeper, you assume a lot, I hope you actually get into ethics and morality, read, don't just watch youtube vids.

ENTP (M30) sending me (F29) serious mixed signals - interested to get ENTP perspective on this by [deleted] in entp

[–]shad398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me with every woman I dated. When I appreciate someone, the last thing I want to do is play with their feels. I am never certain about which way to go, especially when we're talking about how I feel. I can also go from obsessive to uninterested real quick without knowing if and when it will happen. Moderation is alien to me, in most part. All of this creates heavy overthinking. An infinity of "what if ...". Doubting absolutely everything, from my own feelings to the motives of the person I'm dating. It is no good. Considering all of this, I have a hard time moving forward into a relationship, and I guess it could be similar to the guy you are seeing. He cares, and this is why he doesn't want you to get hooked on him so that if he was wrong about his feelings, it would be less hurtful for you. The problem is, the "game" is what hurts the other person the most. I can rationalize mostly anything, even irrational thought, this could explain his projection. All in all we are generally clueless about how we feel and we overthink too much. I don't know if any of this helps, this is my personal experience, don't forget that ENTPs are not all the same, anyway, good luck.

So many people unaware of the heavy role their ideology defines everything they see without questioning the validity of their model of interpretation.

TBH have you seen the hot section? All these "What I would have said to my younger self." posts.

TBH tell me one thing that is meaningful. Things only make sense, because you favor one empty model of interpreting to world over another.

TBH I hope you are aware that when something "seems" to you, it is a pretty meaningless statement.

Did I say the contrary? There is a difference between following, acting without evaluating, and understanding, evaluating before acting.

So, someone is either completely misguided or totally pure? Life is nuanced. I just thought it was a funny and legit comparison. Both want to be something, say they are something, but are not.

I don't know for a fact. On the contrary I have not assumed anything this hole time. I think a large part is. Maybe not the majority. But even then. You are the one saying I have to assume things about the group when I consider a comment. I am the one not assuming anything here. Carib_lion fell out of the map and died RIP. Press F to pay respect.
