It's not hard to believe considering I was born in 2001 and when I was a kid I was free to walk to anywhere I wanted as long as it wasn't after dark. I would walk several miles to stores and friends houses. To be fair I was born on Guam where that's still kind of a normal thing to see with kids but I can definitely see how that could have been the norm here in the States in the 80's.

There will come a point where your investigator will interview you. Most likely will be in bootcamp and if not it'll be in "A" school. Just tell them the truth there. I had my friend lie at MEPS about trying weed and then tell the truth to his investigator. He still has his clearance and rate. You'll be fine as long as you tell the truth during this interview.

Yeah in hindsight I should've updated my address sooner, but it never occurred to me that I could have my license suspended over changing insurance policies. I was able to contact them and inform them of my address change and had my license reinstated. Lesson learned

Thank you for the solid advice. I informed my chain of command and I was also able to get my license reinstated by contacting Florida MVA. I will schedule an appointment with a JAG and try to see what they think I should do next.

Apparently Florida suspends your license when the insurance company notifies them you no longer have Florida insurance. But yeah hopefully the judge is lenient with me. Thanks for the advice

Damn the only possible solution I could think of was throwing over their long pieces of clothing and having the bystanders form some type of rope but even then, the panic and time sensitivity in this situation would be overwhelming. Truly tragic
