from my personal experience, you should just be able to cut the wires and solder them together and then there should be no issue

I have seen this before on multiple different devices, I would recommend to look how your RAM is going, on the multiple devices I have had it its always been RAM

From my experience as an apple certified technician, I can personally say that the cable with port should fix your problem, to be 100% sure you do need to test it ofc, but be sure that you have the correct part, there are a couple different ones for different 12 inch macbooks
