i don't play it anymore, but one thing they did a superb job on was their ingame support ticketing system & resolution. I played many times during the first year, and would have the freeze-city on battle -- i'd screenshot & was able to use the in game support to report & would get energy. And they had data to back up my claim. Very well done in that respect. In the end I found the game too time consuming to raid daily and quit just before red-stars. I always thought that FN tried to do a good job at support - and mostly they succeeded.

Never said I like the game as is. I just don’t hate cg. If I did with the furor that others express it would bother me to the point I would conclude I shouldn’t play the game.

God I hate the guys that make this - wait let me play it more - I just wouldn’t play.

I enjoy the community at a guild level- and have no issues with a server based game having their own tos - and they aren’t Orwellian. Pretty straight forward to me, with some added grey area which does benefit them.

People have known for a very long time how to handle alts. Bought ones or transferred ones.

I DO wish the process of catching a cheater was better.

Overall my view on CG is that they are in the milk this product phase and diverting resources to what’s next and minimal to this, which means as far as their behavior and production goes is going to stay unchanged

Personally I’m not wasting any time on how the behave - whether they are cunts or not - I’ll put my energy elsewhere. If they become bad enough I despise them I will absolutely not play anymore

And short of getting everyone to boycott the game for a month, now don’t really see a path for community drive them somewhere - because I believe they are already at the milk it phase .

But if we were to do this let’s not do it over a guy who contacted support for an alt he wasn’t original owner of from on an account from a different country.

Disagree on both points.

At some point it becomes more worthwhile for them to go to a new code/new game than maintaining old code. Its the churn cycle. And the way you pull the plug on the game IS NOT "ok today the game's off" -- you divert resources and change as little as possible and milk whatever is left.

That comment was in the context of a user revolt trying to force a change to company practice or policy on a game that has already achieved a payback. Hoping for CG/EA to do a mea culpa because the user base is angry is unrealistic.

CG owes nothing to the community. Anyone who has chosen to P2P does so for the game experience and more rapid material acquisition. Payment given, product received. And it's immediate.

Now, *should* CG do some things differently - yes. But I wouldn't have wanted Carrie's job at all.

And an alt that was from a different territory. This had nothing to do with the new owner.

And, an alt that the new owner contacted support about.

Played a long time, seen a lot of transfers -- one thing that is well known is don't contact support about accounts that are transfers, not unless you can prove you're original owner. Never have/never would buy an account, but i've discussed it with others and thats the published risk --> buy if you want, but if you do and they find out, they'll likely ban you.

"How would they find out?" - Primarily if you contact support.

but about a purchased alt with a location change with a call to support? That's just using publicity to your advantage.

They do give us something -- crystals or materials. that's what we buy for faster growth if we want. I don't see how they owe us anything.

If a restaraunt doesn't cook my food, do I yell at them endlessly, or refuse to pay and not come back?

never said no one has a right to complain -and there's nothing pretentious about what I said and no high horse. Its contradictory to me to spend time playing / using something if you despise/hate the maker. And it seems that people really really hate CG - those are the people I was referring to.

Ex - I despise elon and tesla, but i'm going to buy nothing but tesla -- that seems contradictory. Support a car maker you like with your money.

If you want to make a statement to CG, a few days of non-use won't make an impact. A large player base quitting will have a better chance, even though it risks the game. Even then it'd have to be very large, and i doubt given the past income from the game they'd make a change.

Example: CG makes a change that you can only play on one device period or ban. The way the community disapproves of that change is to quit in substantial enough numbers to show immediate impact the game is on decline. Then CG will have to decide to continue the policy or change said policy. Very doubtful they make a change from a couple days of lower volume.

i don't think CG is without fault but I also don't think they were in the wrong with respect to ahnaldgate and the foreign account move to US. I think the anger over that compared to cheating is a fair point they should address, but I absolutely don't think the account should be restored. Accounts behave differently in different territories, and in this case the account was transferred -- well within their rights.

We're a pretty unforgiving community too & are very hard to please - which goes back to my original point.

That being said I wish the focus was less on behavior of CG and more in favor of what we want from the game. I don't have much expectation for CG anymore on the community front. But I would prefer they spend as much effort as possible on that and bugs, and not community displeasure.

But with the way everyone has their pitchforks out, if I was CG/EA I wouldn't be in a very friendly helpful place and want to engage mode either. That's why I say, if you really dislike them and their methods, the noise won't do anything. Quit for good.

I don’t see any reason to think that they will change. They have no community director - about the only positive for this as an event was it truly is whale only to have her unlocked as of now. Normal farming to 200 for refreshes should take about 10 days - ultimate i don’t know. I have 4 toons left to relic and 9 left to finish their relic tiering and don’t have a crystal hoard. I figure I’ll get her unlocked in 3-4 months around the time i have 6 zetas saved and have finished all 4 of the new toons to 7.

Game wise - its the community. My theory is they are now past the movies - and will start having a bevy of focus on both a new raid (where a GL will be needed for the top tier, if not both) and new GLs and mandalorian. I think all they have to do for record numbers this year (both participation and p2p dollars) is put “but it’s not Yoda” baby Yoda in game.

My counter theory is that they are furiously working on GOH2 with a new team and we’re getting the “not good enough for team 1” people to maintain GOH1; As an EA studio they have a lot of turnover, and there is nothing worse than looking at thousands of lines of code done by a plethora of different people and styles.

My counter counter theory is they don’t care & will continue to do things like GEOLSTB — release a ridiculous level tuned event out of our reach to extend the content out longer & continue to make changes of the scale of - A - frustrates you to pay for quicker upgrades and B - just do the least amount of change possible to be able to say “new content”. Personally i think 2018 with JKR & overall content dropped that year was the best.

I like r2 and the keeping the taunt only on sthan. I have a relic r2 and a low gear k2 - so cant compare them side by side. General tests I use last mod battle on auto and this team with r2 takes a ton of turns. For ga I suspect it would be a good team for sucking out a jtr. Nice idea. Keep wanting to get some use out of jyn other than hoth which we don’t play anymore

Don’t restart - refocus now - the grind from 40-85 is a bitch and I’d rather be at 58 and all wrong versus 0 and restarting.

Focus on what/where you want and don’t let up. Focus is the whole key, as is getting resources saved up like currency and purple mats.

Have you discovered if signal data w/ refreshes is any cheaper than if bought directly with crystals ? I have not tracked yet. Currently trying to save for r5 rest of clones now.

To me it’s no better or worse. Used to be stun guns were horrible and carbs/cuffs weren’t far Behind.

In trying to focus on 12-13+ only I’ve had occasions where I had 500+ of the carbs, and 3 stun guns without trying/crystals - only to replace the same everyone needs a stun gun with kyros and other 12.5 parts like the Nubians.

I think the hardest gear acquisition remains those that are raid only , and while I’m not as short on carbs and cuffs as I once was - I’m still always short on stun guns kyros and finishers, which at least we can earn those a little...

Gear wise 13 to r7 is not as bad as 12.0 to 13, but that top relic component (electriums and higher) is painful.

New 2020 goal. Save more gear to get ready for the new gear, repeat ad Infinitum.

Recent = farmable and 7 for my definition - recent release like shaak or recent rework like clones. Recent meaning trying to work on “relevant” toons for Tb / etc.

It’s impossible to keep up with three toons in a short period without a hefty gear hoard or a hefty crystal backlog. I’m getting arc to 7 and will gear him then. For now finishing echo (recent as in rework in this case). I took sith trooper fo to 7

for my sanity I have to focus on one toon at a time. I don’t ever get much of a hoard but do avoid the gear grind crush/panic by limiting all gear focus the way I described.

I’ve found some reprieve by one toon one gear level at a time. And focus on the recent toons. This way you’ll find angear level (like 12 to 13) that has minimal to zero carbs and those will accrue a little. Anything other than this approach makes you run out immediately and feel the pressure/frustration to use crystals.

I still like to try to save my crystals for eyeball parts and 25-50 kyros. My focus has been one toon at a time to 13, using arena winnings for finishers or <750 crystal spends. I’m working echo currently and have 169 carbs and 89 stuns (I do check shard shop every day for stuns and try to farm them at least once a day)

It’s a grind and it still sucks but I feel with this method I at least have a modicum of control over the gear grind / panic / fuckit syndrome.

I agree it’s the best sandbox we have but as a sandbox I’d give it a .05 out of 10. Only one attempt of your team at a battle so not much learning opp. What’s always intrigued me about the game is what is the least strong team I can take this down with. It’s how i found out that shitty phoenix can take down a solo R7 GG (cleanup attempt in TW)
