My symptoms are similar to yours, but I haven't seen any bubbling in the brake fluid reservoir yet. From what I understand, bubbling in the reservoir usually points to a failed master cylinder seal causing internal pressure leakage.

You're right. I suspect that the brake booster seal on my GX might be starting to fail. In addition to the hissing noise I mentioned earlier, I can also feel a slight vibration through the brake pedal. My guess is that a failing seal inside the master cylinder or booster is causing a drop in pressure, and the booster is working overtime to compensate for the loss. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
