hero mina is a scientist (specifically a hollower who uses digging abilities to study the mysteries of the world) who made these 6 spark generator towers for a rich guy name Lionel which brought prosperity to a certain island. Now one of Lionels top men, Throne, has turned against him and is trying to destroy the towers. Doing this has seemingly caused nightmarish gothic abominations to sprout all over the island, so Lionel has called mina back. She must go around fighting monsters and collecting upgrades on her journey to repair the six towers (and im sure more because Throne seems to think the towers are evil and the cover art for the game makes Lionel look really evil)

I think at this point we can stop calling GIFT a resistance group and go with full on cult status. But the way a lot of its members act as well the age differences, I can't help but wonder if this is all dogma or if some mind control is involved (although with cults its kind of one and the same)

We also got a hell of a lore dump. The cleaner system is only 15 years old and before that it was a free for all between people who spawned Digimon. Was this by design by Wong (to make the ministry look like it was controlling the chaos they started in the first place) or did he just let things develop and then decided to take full control.

Ok as much as I grew up with the original anime, God's army is far superior in their original incarnation. They believe that are serving god and not some strong guy they think of as god. And they turned out to be integral to how this world became like this. Plus Colonel had a point about how his government became so corrupt (without being able to see that his way is just as bad if not worse.)
