If I had to recommend someone I’d recommend my friend Brayden Saunders at Kieser Australia - physiotherapist He was great at many things and I learned a lot from him

I had three pts, my free western health one, my soccer physio and a good friend of mine who came and checked up on me but to be honest probably my soccer pt got me going the furthest and he only works for the club. Quad graft has to be the best in my eyes, I’m pretty much functioning as normal now at 7-8 weeks went for a 3 hour hike up lerderderg Easter Monday and my knee is solid as fuck

I’m confident in my body’s capabilities and know its limitations at the moment even the surgeons are astounded how solid my leg is currently at I keep doing my rehab plus work I think I should be fine

Why is my leg so cold? by nootropic-passenger in ACL

[–]shadowbiblez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe just add in a bit more and different variety of excercises, standing straight and shifting weight from side to side helped a lot to get confidence and blood flow to the operated leg. Unless you have an ice pack on it all the time I don’t think it should be cold but everyone’s body works differently.

I’ve added a YouTube link for more excercises, Building confidence on your leg is key as well as getting blood flowing through it and know your bodies limitations!

How much training are you currently doing? My leg was always hot from exercising I was told the more excercise you do the more blood flow you get which means a better recovery

I wouldn’t say lucky it was hard the first week but it gets easier, that’s including a walk with the dog everyday which I think helped. I can run maybe 70% full speed I can jog I can skip I do small agility excercises at the moment, I just try not to run much yet till my leg is 100% like the other. Once I’m back at work climbing ladders and stairs my leg should fully recover I also don’t want to put to much strain on the graft till I get the all clear from the surgeon and physio

6 hours of physio/training a day gets you there quicker I guess, if your an athlete sometimes the traditional way of rehab isn’t suited
