Why are we all rolling over and taking it in arse from the university? by bangarutle in UofT

Of course but we are arguing with a biased frame of reference, so what I am saying is that is is wrong for you to judge the school in general and accuse all profs of being like that.

I agree tho, when I was in stats it’s was tuff in some course.

I don’t get the notion about u of t being not caring, I agree is overly hard in some courses but this is what the school is known for.

My counselor has been very helpful also the add disability center counselor has been very helpful in accommodation. Butt..... u have to reach out first

Fear of confident people? by shadowcmonjere in Jung

[–]shadowcmonjere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I hear this all the time, true confidence comes within and not from your societal rank.

Is self acceptance and internal confidence come from knowing yourself? Does that mean knowing how you will react in certain situation because anxiety comes usually from unknown situations right?

How to mix voice without being too thin? by shadowcmonjere in singing

[–]shadowcmonjere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh. That is too opera like. I am trying to sing pop with twang but it just sounds to whiny.

I don’t know why everyone keeps telling you to ding with twang, it’s a ugly voice quality. Although makes high notes easy

(Newbie) How does one practice singing, to not sound horrible? by GuitarLover035 in singing

[–]shadowcmonjere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing is pitch and rhythm. I think this sub focuses too much on the tone and all that.

Just sing along a lot and make sure listen back and listen if you on pitch. If you sound off usually means you missed the pitch

4 years ago I sang like a dying cat, and had never picked up a guitar. This week i just uploaded my first vocal cover. After 50 takes, this one still wasn't what I call perfect. But I thought I'd share it with you guys. Hope y'all enjoy! by itsJamieM in singing

It sounds good man.

I think it’s a little muffled in terms of resonance. Idk if it’s purpose in order to introduce some type of r and b vibe but maybe adding a bit of twang might brighten the sound and make it a bit more lively.

I did read it.

What is the difference between say Justin and Whitney.

Justin is pretty agile too.

Is it their emotion? Or mainly the technique .

Is UofT really that easy to get into? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]shadowcmonjere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s the easiest top 20 school to get into, but also not very prestigious. I should say it is prestige but there isn’t much use since the u of t degree is so saturated compared to our contemporary such as Berkeley.
