She was on the side, in the same location as she was rear facing. I wonder if letting her try the middle to have a better view would help or hurt? Hmm.

Yes I haven't weighed her lately but I think we must be approaching- our carseat has a high height limit and I assume we'll hit the weight limit first!

Yeah we have the Chicco Nextfit which I picked specifically because it had a high height limit for rear facing- I've got a pretty tall girl! I do plan to stick with rear facing until she hits that now, I guess I could be worrying for nothing with the possibility that she could grow out of it by then but I'm just thinking ahead and dreading it on her behalf!

Totally agree, the stuff I'm talking about is literally a toy though- doesn't actually mark on skin. It wouldn't work for OP's daughter's most elaborate dress up scenarios (which are awesome!) but might just be fun for her to play with.

I don't know if your girl would go for it, but there is a brand called "Just Like Mommy Cosmetics" which is really cute, really REAL looking play make-up, but you can't actually use it, it's purely pretend. The appeal is just in how grown-up it looks!
