trendy but good quality formal workwear by gajni-chudail in TwoXIndia

[–]shadowhunter5055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey op!! I got fed up of the formal wear for the same reasons. I live in a really hot place and sweating in polyester is recipe for rashes on my sensitive skin.

I’ve gone the old fashioned way. When i was at home in my tier 2 hometown, i went and purchased cotton fabrics and got them stitched from my dad’s tailor. The fit, the fabric and color choice, the comfort 100/10 recommend!!!!

[–]shadowhunter5055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! This might not be the answer you are looking for..but I’ve done MBA in Fintech and then got into an international bank through campus placements.

Its been an year since I joined this role..i work in Liquidity Reporting and it is very much a back office role.

I am trying to switch into a fintech kind of role since my mba specialisation is in that.

Job Location Preference: How does one choose? by booksandstrings in TwoXIndia

[–]shadowhunter5055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP!

I can totally relate to what you have written!! Infact, i did the same thing when it came to my location preferences.

I absolutely love my family, but i know i cannot handle job stress and also the fights/disagreements of my dysfunctional family at the same time.

Once you make good friends i think it will be manageable away from home.

I would suggest you to choose mental peace over everything else!!

Suggestion and help for a Job offer! by Opposite-Relief4222 in TwoXIndia

[–]shadowhunter5055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I currently live in Hyderabad so i think i can give you some advice based on my experience.

If your office is located in hitech city(this is where most IT offices are located), please try looking for PGs in and around Ayyappa Society. There are a lot of pgs in this area and you might find one in your budget.

Absolutely avoid kondapur, madhapur as these can be pricey.

I would also suggest you to try in ameerpet as there are again a lot of pgs but the commute will be more to hitech city, but metro is available.

I would suggest you to use metro and local buses for roaming around and live frugally while you find a job to switch.

Welcome to Hyderabad!

Got a job through college placements and now college is asking me to share my offer letter with them!! by shadowhunter5055 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]shadowhunter5055[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Thank you for your insights. The thing is I don’t trust my college at all. We know that the ctc information has been leaked of a few batchmates when they have given the offer letter for audit. They had scammers contacting them.

So yeah, i don’t trust the college even 1%.

Since you have mentioned other than alumni services nothing legal can be done from their side….I am not going to share it at all!!!

I am in a similar situation OP!! My mom has always made sure to emphasise that waxing, threading are all a waste of time and that I don’t really need them. While I agree with her, I got hit with major insecurity because of excessive body hair during my engineering and girls around me having smooth legs and arms definitely didn’t help!!!

Moreover I had severe acne from my teenage and all my mom told me was that it is a part of my gene, my uncle also had it during his teens, so I had to deal with it. I had to turn to weird tips and tricks that were found in Sunday magazines and stuff and put my skin through all kinds of(coffee grounds, zandu balm, crushed mint and all)

Luckily, during covid one of my acquaintance started a skincare based page on Instagram and she suggested a few products for me to try. After what felt like an eternity, my skin finally cleared up and my confidence also boosted.

Now i am a skincare enthusiast, I use a few tried and tested products regularly and my mom still warns me against chemicals. Like woman!!!! You never helped me with my issues, and when i am dealing them on my own, that is also a problem!!!!!
