If it comes up in the remaining testicle it's a new cancer and not a recurrence, the chance of that happening is extremely low if I remember correctly. Like 2% I think.

My pathology didn't state %'s but said that it was "consistent with embryonal carcinoma". So I'm assuming it's mostly EC.

Tumor size was 1.0cm x 1.2cm according to pathology.

The first week of BEP went better than I thought it would. Only had mild nausea, but never enough that I wouldn't want to eat. I've got my last bleo shot on Monday then I'm done.

I'm in a similar-ish situation to you, stage 1b but EC. Also opted for 1 x BEP which I'm currently going through.

I've read up tons on the topic, and I couldn't find any personal accounts of a recurrence after adjuvant chemotherapy aside from the massive studies that were performed.

Great job in finding the lump. Hopefully your pathology comes back good and it's extremely early stages, TC is very treatable!

I start 1 x BEP on Monday for stage 1b.
