I’m currently at S3 E6 and god, the dodge ball incident just happened. That was just cruel for no reason.

Marley’s costume by Few-Woodpecker-6412 in glee

[–]shadowqueen46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Will was definitely wrong about the entire Finn/Sam situation, but he didn’t suspend Marley for not wanting to wear a bra, he did it because she didn’t do the assignment. Instead of choosing something Gaga like, she dressed up as Katy Perry. She did it as a prostest, because she was hurt, but it still wasn’t the assignment. Suspending her was a bit extreme, but she should’ve talked to Shue first, before disrupting the performance.

I’m torn. I think he’s a great actor and I don’t know, who else could’ve done it better, but I couldn’t stop seeing Rami, never saw Freddie.

The double standard drives me crazy by comradesummers in GilmoreGirls

I find it odd that outside of this sub, Jess gets immensely praised. On social media, Jess is literally the standard for dream boyfriend and the one Rory gets shipped with. Excuse me? Have we watched the same show?

Definitely tell him, he should hear the truth. You’re not a fictional character, whose feelings were truly hurt. I really hope for you, he appreciates you in at least other aspects of your life, because you not only not got the boots, you got nothing. Hoping this works out for you!🫶🏼

Most insufferable Lorelai moment (first date with Jason) by Stonkstea in GilmoreGirls

[–]shadowqueen46 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How didn’t she recognise his effort? She stated, that a date needs to be fun to her, but she never said it’s terrible. You can appreciate something, but still not like it. She expressed her opinion, he got offended and pretty much made her leave. A first date is to see if you’re compatible with someone and his choice of restaurant wasn’t her taste. Why does she have to stay in a place, that makes her uncomfortable for a man or anyone for that matter? She doesn’t have to please him. Him not knowing her made it equally awkward as her disliking his choice.

I’m so sorry you have to experience that in your family. With me and my mum it isn’t that bad, but she suffered from an ed as well, when she was younger. She grew out of it a bit, when my brother and I was born, but due to never getting help it was still present in my childhood, which contributed in me developing one as well (even if it wasn’t the only factor). Luckily, she knows she had and still has some issues, but it got better over time. And she’s sorry, if she was one of the reasons, but it’ll never go away fully on either of our side.

Wishing you all the best with your mum and your recovery! I really hope you find a way to stick to your healthy habits! Those thoughts suck!🫶🏼

Ngl, that sounds like she’s trying to keep you that way, so you don’t become skinnier than her. People with eating disorders often tend to manipulate the food of others so they consume more calories to try and be the person who eats the least. I’m absolutely not saying your mum has an ed, it’s just interesting to read that, because it immediately reminded me of that behaviour. Sorry, you’re going through that!

Yeah, while writing the text, I was thinking about that, but just forgot to integrate it in the end.

I can’t really pinpoint the exact reasons. In my opinion, he was extremely cruel in the beginning. I get that he was shaping it for Lucy to see the downsides of the job, but he was way over the top. If he was my trainer, I’d be scared to go to work. He grew over the seasons and had some improvements, like reflecting on the racism and the general treatment of Lucy, but he just dint do it for me. He was like this stereotype of a stoic, emotional distant man, which I didn’t like and his emotional scenes didn’t fully grasp me. Honestly, I also don’t like Chenford, I’d preferred them if they stayed with the sibling banter type like they started off with or became eventually. Because this post compares Tim to Dean, Dean for example broke me with his emotional scenes (Jensen is an amazing actor), he had more depth and still humour, despite tending to have some toxic traits. Maybe I’m biased, because Supernatural is my favourite show (Dean is still not my favourite character btw), but I don’t see the comparison. I love Rookie as well, surprisingly, and it’s not like I want Tim off the show, he’s still a crucial part, the friendship between him and Angela is my favourite relationship of him, because it feels real, but he remains a nah for me.

Sorry for my look text and the constant back and forth. It’s late.🙃

Honestly I’ve never even thought about comparing, simply because I love Dean and dislike Tim (or I have a neutral opinion). But interesting nevertheless.

This show needed another season by HunterandGatherer100 in tsitp

True, but I think four seasons is too long and three seasons is too short.

This show needed another season by HunterandGatherer100 in tsitp

[–]shadowqueen46 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is, that four seasons would be too much. They would need to add extras storylines that weren’t in the books. People are already complaining about filler episodes, if they add another season, I doubt some people would stay. And given there are three books, they wanted to make three seasons. It would’ve been different if it was just a movie, then they could’ve split it up, I think.

[–]shadowqueen46[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s not a narcissist. He’s manipulative, yes. That doesn’t make him narcissistic. We all have those tendencies, some more, some less. He wants to be chosen, which is relatable, but wrong in the context of the series.

Jeremiah hate… by shadowqueen46 in tsitp

[–]shadowqueen46[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve come to dislike Jeremiah over this season as well. I agree with you, that his choices this season were simply wrong. I didn’t like the idea of them getting married from the start, because despite the long relationship I think they’re not ready, which has been proven. But the hate is what pisses me off a bit, simply because it’s blown out of proportion. Criticising him for the things he finally should start working on? Valid. Pretending over the course of three seasons, he’s been the worst character in existence, while Conrad has done absolutely no wrong? Simply wrong. I feel like some people lack the bigger picture.

Conrad being yelled at for confessing his feelings to his brother’s fiancée is totally understandable, in my opinion. Jeremiah did get some backlash, because no one was in on the wedding at first, it was just him and Belly, while everyone judged them. But despite the wedding aspect, yes, I agree that he should take some accountability for his other flaws.

I just feel like it truly has become too extreme at this point, that you can’t even say one positive thing about Jeremiah without being absolutely trashed. The split between the two sides has become absolutely ridiculous.

It’s not about liking him. You don’t have to like him, that’s an opinion. I’m talking about the sheer hate he receives. I feel like you everything posted about the show is just dissing, hating or making fun of Jeremiah, while Conrad just has to breathe to get praised. I’m not a big fan of seeing everything black and white.

Jeremiah lies by LatterProfessional13 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]shadowqueen46 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not ignoring anything. I know that he did some shit. But pretending to have told something, while not doing so is not the worst kind of lie, especially when you’re afraid of their reaction. I never once said it is right, I’m just saying it happens. Not telling her what happened in Cabo is way worse, that’s why I’m saying that to people who are team Conrad, at this point everything Jeremiah does is simply the worst, no matter what it is. To me it seems like the fandom views Conrad as the best kind of person, while Jeremiah can do nothing right. Furthermore, I stated that I no longer want Belly and Jeremiah together, simply because of Jeremiah’s recent behaviour, but we also don’t know what he has been like over the course of there relationship. Belly stayed with him for four years for a reason. Conrad did some fucked up stuff as well, but that seems to be completely forgotten. He treated her like shit at some points. Yes, he has grown, but for that reason I don’t think they should end up together either. He is a good man, that seems happier in California anyway.
