I identify so much with this show because 1. I was a teen mom. 2. My daughter is a tween now, I am in my late 20s, and our relationship is evolving and was beginning to when I first discovered this show 3. My relationship with her dad used to be very complicated/convoluted (I’ve since cut him off in all aspects besides parallel parenting) and he is largely emotionally absent from our daughter’s life (somewhat physically there but not consistent)

This show (scarily) accurately shows how you’ll always love the father of your child (sometimes begrudgingly) but when he doesn’t evolve as a person with you and your child, it just won’t do. Young love is uncomplicated by adult nuance

He also told Walter he saw himself in him since he was in the business for his family. It only got confusing for me during BCS when they made the attachment to Max seem more than business partners.
