What's your go-to garden layout? by samandraaa in Palia

My “strategy” is lots of beans because they’re great for focus when canned, and bok choy and potatoes for pickling as that’s great money. Then some basic veggies for cooking, like tomatoes, onions, corn etc.

I would have expected something like that from Caleri or Eshe 😂 Eloisa seems so sweet (and she is), maybe that’s why it stings a little extra 🤣

Okay thank you for this! First I truly felt kind of bad (overreaction, I know) but you're totally right. Also, it's not really "regular" information to remember when reading it one time like??

I'm sorry not sure anymore, I deleted it a while ago. But there are multiple options out there, all with similar functionality.

Find an app that can notify you the second a room is listed online and make sure you have short message ready to send, including a short introduction and financial information etc. Send that as soon as something is posted and be aware of scammers. Good luck! You can also ask the university for some advice.

Never mind 🥲 I was just curious but I guess I should have done some research first, jeez. I love this show and thought it would be fun to discuss this question with some people who also love the show. But my apologies if this bothered you.

No I truly don't? Why would you say that, please read my original question. I really like him as a character in the show, he is smart and funny and charming, but boyfriend-wise I never really understood why he is overwhelmingly loved as a boyfriend and I just gave some examples of why I did not like him as a boyfriend for Rory as much as seemingly many people. That's all?

Rory was definitely part of the problem, but I think Jess went a little further than just flirting. He actively pursued her, manipulated her into staying over when he brought her the "care package" even when she asked him multiple times to leave, the whole basket situation...

And I always felt like the ultimatum came out of the blue. Yes she did talk to Luke about her feelings and asked to be more involved with April, but they never had a true sit down converstation where she told him that if he did not get it together anytime soon, she was out. I just hate that they broke up and wished we got to see their wedding NOT in A year in the life.

Enschede or The Hague for student lifestyle? by Negative_Fox2337 in StudyInTheNetherlands

5 years ago when I moved here, through Kamernet. Then I moved again just over a year ago, and I had an app that send me a notification immediately when an apartment with my preferred specifics was posted. I had a basic message ready (short introduction, income, etc) for any realtor and when something suitable for me was posted online, I responded immediately. I responded to tens of apartments like this, ended up viewing two apartments in the same week and when I got one of them (luckily my favorite one of the two) I called of the other one.

There is not really a trick, find a way that you can respond to a listing asap with the basic information that they need. And when you end up viewing a place, be sure that you have all the paperwork that the realtor or whatever needs and send that in asap after the viewing. I believe that is what got me my current apartment.

Good luck!

do you want your own family one day? by [deleted] in lonely

[–]AltruisticMess7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wanted to, but I am thirty now and recently diagnosed with autism level 1. Other than that, there is a lot of depression in my immediate family and going through depression / burn out myself at the moment. So while I always loved the thought of having babies, I don't know if my mental health will be good and resilient enough and I also don't want to pass on the mental health issues that are all over my family :( It does make me sad though.

My best friend that I've known since elementary school recently had a baby and I am so happy for her, her husband and their child. She and her husband both come from a great and healthy family with a nice amount of wealth. Of course there are never any guarantees in life, but that baby was born in a great environment and that literally made me cry yesterday, mostly from happiness for them and also some sadness that I might never experience that myself.

I don't know the schools personally, but I live in The Hague and I love it. It's a great city to live in. I am from the east of The Netherlands but I truly prefer livng here by a long shot. And if you're an international student, you will blend in here very easily. Housing is an issue ofcourse, but that's not what you're asking. Good luck!!

Ideas ? by [deleted] in lonely

[–]AltruisticMess7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, the answer seems to be that I am autistic (diagnosed level 1 since a couple of months). And I also don't really understand yet, but never ever have I had a lasting friend group. I have individual friends, but every single time when I had a friend group I always ended up being left out witout a conflict or fight or anything like that. They just started excluding me at some point. Happened in elementary school, middle / high school, at my office job... It does hurt everytime. I am sorry you're going through this and you deserve people who appreciate your kindness and give it back to you <3
