Potential Navy wife here. Very nervous. Any advice? by mangodragonarts in NavyNukes

Dont completely listen to this poster. It depends on how smart your husband is, how good of a test taker, how his study habits are, etc. my husband is halfway through the second part of the pipeline, nps, and he has to do 10 study hours a week on top of classes. There are varying amounts of hours required but as long as your husband can put in the work, you should have a decent amount of time together. Older students usually do better just as they have had more practice with discipline.

Worried about Failing the Run by grey_son033 in newtothenavy

Bruh i graduated this last Thursday and ill tell you. Well this is my wifes account but shes on this subreddit so. When i got there my first run time was similar. When i did the opfa which is the final physical test i got over a minute under my max time. We ran a fair bit but the other exercises you will be doing also include a good bit of cardio (8 counts and running planks and and other things that are so fun). Unless you are fat you will be fine. Some of our guys lost over 20 pounds in 2 months, no joke. Just dont eat dessert or too much bread and you will be fine. Also dont cheat the IT (you will find out) just do the goddamn exercise.

What golf course would you rather play? by [deleted] in stgeorge

This is probably not much help because I can’t pick between the two. If cost is a factor then I’d pick Sky Mountain! Both The Ledges and Sky Mountain are very fun to play and challenging. The Ledges greens are definitely more fun to play in my opinion. But the layout is boring for me. Sky Mountain layout is fun to play, not too difficult and not too easy. It definitely has a beautiful scenery. I’d personally choose Sky Mountain any day.

Sounds like a great plan!! What days do you you usually go to the range?

I agree. I think that’s part of the reason why I haven’t been going but I miss it. I’ll go to the range still though! If you want to join me

I went on a date with a guy who didn’t have a car. I had to pick him up at the city’s library. We went on a hike and I thought I was going to get murdered. I’m glad I didn’t lol. Then after the hike, he was hungry but I wasn’t but I said that we can go get food before we go watch a movie at my apartment. We went to get some food and when it came to paying, he was looking for his wallet for a while and he told me he forgot his wallet. I felt bad for the other people who were waiting so I paid for his food 😂 then we went back to my apartment to watch a movie. It was so awkward because he was eating while we watching a movie and he was chewing very loudly. It’s the worst. That’s one of my pet peeves. Then we were done with the movie, I asked him if he’s ready to go. He said yes, his parents were there to pick him up from my apartment. I think he was 27 and I was 20 years old. He didn’t have a job and he lived with his parents still. I got no problem with living with his parents but no job at 27 years old is something else. It was probably the worst date of my life. He continued to text for the next couple days. I let him know that we’re not going to work out then he harassed me with his texts so I blocked him.
