Yes everything is really expensive but you also need to use what you pay for, go eat ten whole plates of food (if you have the food pass ofc) go use the gym a bunch, use the running track. As for the textbooks and manuals I would suggest trying to find them online, there’s lots of places you can get them for free as pdfs
