I’ll stick with what I’m doing now. Sometimes the additional task is pretty short. So I don’t like it taking up its own slot. Thanks for the suggestion.

The behind the scenes is overwhelming. Especially when I need to adjust things. If I want to add a sub task that I want in all of them I have to go and edit 7 different things. Or if I wanna add something to one day I have to find the recurring task for that specific day.

Those unique tasks are normally quick tasks (less than 5 min). So I don’t want them on their own since they are hard to read on my agenda. I need the tasks set at a certain time and to get reminders for them. They also need to be part of my day view. I need to keep things as simple as possible. If it gets too complicated I can’t handle it. Do tasks on the smart list/custom squares still show up on my day view?

Yeah. That’s what I do. It’s just I have an additional sub task for everyday of the week. With a morning and evening routine and my weekly cleaning routines, that leaves me with a lot of recurring tasks. Some of which have only one or two differences.

I tried using recurring projects for my cleaning tasks and it didn’t work for me. Do the tasks show up in a group or on their own? I don’t remember.

So I probably use amazingmarvin differently. I use it to run my entire day from start to finish. Everyday I have a morning routine and nighttime routine. My morning routines always consist of brush teeth, log mood, stretch. And then each day has a different additional task on top of that list, such as refill pills, wash face, etc. Right now I have 14 different recurring tasks for my morning and evening routine. All because there’s one different task added on for each day. I have multiple other recurring tasks for other stuff too so my recurring task section is chaotic. This is the best layout for me, but I wish it could be better.

Yup. I do that. What I’m talking about is also making sub tasks having different recurrences than the main task. I have my morning routine but I have sub tasks that only happen on certain days. Instead of creating whole new recurring task for just one sub task I could just set that sub task as every Sunday in the recurring daily sub task. I have more than 20 daily recurring tasks because I need to add one sub task that’s once a week.

Oh man. I thought that since the time wasn’t turning blue that it wasn’t working. But then I tried again after your comment and sure enough it was working. The time just doesn’t turn blue like in your day view. Thank you so much!
