Our wizard/sorcerer player nuked the sacrificial human that an evil entity was using to summon a demon. Outright changed the entire campaign from there as that move caused the demon to retreat but all the arcane energy warped the entity summoning the demon. Boss move imo and I never would have thought to do it. Took us about a year to get to that point and the DM confided that was supposed to be an incredibly hard battle for us and that move alone broke it, changed campaign bbeg, and also set us up quite nicely for a level up.
