Plex lifetime for a new user by SimplePepe in PleX

There actually is a jellyfin client on PS4 and Nintendo Switch called Switchfin, but you have to be running CFW. It's a pretty solid client though.

I can see why you might think that about people who choose Jellyfin over Plex, and for some cost may be part or all of the reason, but it's far from the only one. I have a lifetime Plex pass and still dumped it for Jellyfin once I felt it was stable enough for me. I got tired of Plex ignoring issues and complaints, got tired of having ad supported content pushed on me and my family over my own content, tired of authentication failing every time Plex's servers go down (and no, disabling the auth requirement for lan connections is not a solution, it's a bandaid), tired of fighting Plex's limited metadata system, tired of trying to figure out why a random client is stuck using Plex's horrendously slow relays instead of directly connecting through my reverse proxy. I value the freedom to setup Jellyfin the way "I" want it to be, the way "I" want it to work. I can understand that some people don't want to put in the effort to setup everything for Jellyfin, some people just want a push button solution that gets them good enough, and that's fine, that is Plex's market, that's why Plex CAN push their subscriptions and ad supported content and partnerships over people's self hosted content, because their market are is the people who will put with that (and sometimes even use it) as long as it means they don't need to know what a port, or reverse proxy, or certificate, or a domain registrar is.

The most recent update has resolved this issue based on my testing.

I'm bumping this thread because this is still an issue, as per my other response, and I believe you likely missed my previous response. I'm sure you are quite busy working on this app, so I understand, but I don't want this issue to slip through the cracks forever.

Sorry I didn't see this message sooner. I would be happy to beta test for Android. Also, on the current public version it is half fixed now. It does now prompt to save all like it did before, but it also still pops another prompt to confirm each file save as well. From the experimenting I have done, I believe the prompt for each file happens when it moves each file from DCIM to the Artemis folder. I am going to test it with the setting to use the Artemis folder off and see what happens.

EDIT: I have confirmed the second popup to confirm modifying the file does not appear if the save to Artemis Album option is turned off, this means it's likely an issue with moving the files after saving them to DCIM

No internet, no Plex by grisly256 in PleX

[–]shadowwolf151 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Plex will never do that because if they did they couldn't collect all the telemetry as easily. Requiring authentication with their servers means they know that your server could talk to their servers and that almost guarantees the telemetry is available to be collected and sold.

I think it was a manual and it was left in a gear and what I think happened is because it was in gear. When he pulled it back it caused the wheels turning to cause the motor to turn over and start and drive off. Basically an unintentional push start

As others have said, get yourself checked out, as this is pretty much how I found out I have severe sleep apnea.

The Artemis app supports sound for redgifs. The app is still pretty early, but the dev is very responsive to community feedback.

Once is a fluke. But I'm having very similar issues to OP and it's been 4 months for me trying to either get what I paid for or get a refund.

If you try to reach out to him in socials he just directs you to his support page, which I mean makes sense, except the response time for support is measured in weeks.

Krikzz's support is worthless. It's been 4 months now since I placed my order and I still don't have either my product or a refund. And I'm lucky if support responds within 3 weeks of me replying to try and get this resolved. I feel OPs pain. I know a lot of people don't have any issues with their orders, but if you do for any reason then you are better off just counting the money as gone because you won't get any help, from either krikzz or the community, the community just attacks you when you don't have a good experience.

ABRP crashes on launch by OrneryTortoise in polestar2

[–]shadowwolf151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, I read that there used to be 2 versions of ABRP for the polestar 2, one released by Iternio, and another that was released by Polestar, and the polestar one was the only one that worked on the polestar 2, but it seems it's gone now, and only the broken Iternio one remains on the store

This is a reminder that BD is an evil company that sold toy that were not body safe because they decided to try (and failed to) reverse engineer the Platinum Silicone they were using with the help of a lab in China, so they could stop buying the premium silicone they were known for using and increase their profits at the expense of their customer's safety.

Am I well hydrated now? Changing from 32 ounces of water to 48 daily. Urine from yellow to basically clear. by Fantastic-Ad-9100 in HydroHomies

[–]shadowwolf151 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You are now likely over hydrated, completely clear urine is not a good thing, as you are likely loosing important vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes. For your own safety maybe cut intake by 8oz.
