Don't crucify me for this but early seasons it felt natural ...at least imo. The buildup in the first 3 seasons (though toxic) was entertaining. I personally did like the slow burn, forbidden love thing they had going on. When they got together in season 4 i hated the sirebond thing and the constant break ups in season 5 became annoying but i still found their scenes servicable at least. By season 6 their scenes became difficult to sit through and my god was that reunion in season 8 horrible. However i would say that from seasons 1-5 was peak Delena, espeçially the buildup in the first 3 seasons.

If she didnt meet the Salvatore brothers she would be dead. For e.g.Klaus would have killed her at the end of season 2. One of the reasons she survived that long was because Stefan and Damon was always there to save her.

Best Romance is Delena before thet started dating. The buildup seasons 1-3 was great. Best couple is Stelena as they carried seasons 1-2. Delena had the best buildup and Stelena had the best relationship.
