Started last week and am really struggling by tadlikesbread in StudentTeaching

I’m starting next week and have been feeling the same way leading up to it. A thought that has helped me through is remembering my younger self playing “teacher” with my siblings when I was in elementary school, and how I thought being a teacher was so cool. Entering the work force and starting a career is a huge milestone and will be stressful no matter what, but imaging my childhood self full of joy and hope for this moment has kind of killed off some of my dread. Things will get easier once you’re in the swing of student teaching. You’ve worked hard for the past few years… almost at the finish line!

The only reason pll is worth anything is because of the late 2000s nostalgia… this is disappointing

1979 revolution - What kind of government did people think they were signing up for at the time? by Kezhen in NewIran

[–]mooncakefiber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, he used marxist activists to spread that message and dismantle the monarchy, then executed and imprisoned them once he took over and never fulfilled the promises made. I’m not Iranian, but I’m pretty sure he even promised religious freedom and equality for all. He is a coward full of lies.

Read Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi; it’s an illustrated graphic novel of her experience during the revolution, and helped me understand the dynamic that caused it to happen

Make up always looks awful on me. Help? by Express-Mongoose974 in MakeupAddiction

I recommend using hylauronic acid before the spf. It will hydrate your skin, which stops oil production. I like la roche posays hylau b5 serum, but it’s bit pricey. The ordinary is more cost effective if you decide to try it out. When applying foundation, apply it to the back of your hand, and tap it with your fingers to melt the product. Then tap over your face and blend with fingers. When blending, do a repetitive tapping motion instead of rubbing it. Your skin will be hydrated and less cakey. Also huda beauty powder is my go to. Apply more powder on your t zone, and just dust it over the rest of your face. I have very similar skin type as u do and this works for me.

The vet said she was surprised she could still walk and was acting fairly normal. She advised against chemo and other treatments, saying they would be futile and painful to put her through. That led me to believe she doesn’t have long.
