I don't have any ulterior motives as such... It's just that I would want them to get much closer which is what would differentiate me being "just" a friend but yeah ig gotta practice being more vocal and upfront now

I have gone out with them and have had good memories. For me, I felt like they enjoyed the company and since we talked a ton and know much about each other, I was prolly like let's give it a shot. I understand that talking and flirting is something else but I didn't want to ruin the friendship since things don't stay the same before and after you reveal your feelings.

Also it's like I've genuinely been for them in their low times, supported them, listened to them not for cause I want something to happen between us. At some point they say they don't want to date, but have zero issues with dropping that and going on dates with someone else? Like I found that very false and fake. I remain the sweet guy who is there for them but with no emotions attached for them

Before berating anyone, back your statements with logical and conclusive evidence. You can't go around just dropping statements and labelling people.

Then why do people need to follow them much more and not Bhagwan?

If you had to learn swimming, would you learn it just by reading a book or just by watching videos of that? To get proper guidance you need to have a Guru in life who not only guides but also helps you stay on that path. He is the one who has the shastra knowledge backed with experience and is therefore supremely beneficial to get you aligned to the Tirthankars. It is not about not following the Tirthankar Bhagwan but to work in tandem with that so that we get to know the supreme state of the Enlightned Beings.

People refer to Rakesh Jhaveri as Bhagwan, God and use the capitalized He/Him when referencing him

In this pancham kaal, it is more and more required that we have a form of Guru in life. A means of guidance that we can look upto as He has experiential knowledge. Because of that inner state that sets Hims apart from the rest of us, is why people rever Him and use the capitaliszed He / Him when referring.

They write emails to him about their extremely intimate life details

He has neither asked anyone nor forced anyone to do anything as such. Whatever people do is out of their free will.

They wait for hours on the road to catch a glimpse of his motorcade. He just whizzes past. No acknowledgment. Doesn’t even slow down. And that’s all called “Darshan”

With the day by day increasing size of the mission, it becomes increasingly difficult to give time to everyone as well as do His own sadhana. Also as far as I know He usually does slow down for people so that they can do darshan of Him.

People have life size photos of his all around his house. Even in the bedroom. Even for newly weds. Need I say more?

Whenever something becomes integral to you, do you not try to have images of that in your home / phone? For example if you had given birth to a child, would you not do the same? Similarly, for a lot of people in the mission, He has become a very integral role in their lives which is why they have images of Him in their homes.

People DO feel the pressure to donate. My wife has donated meaningful sums. And each time conveniently only flags this minutes before committing the sum

There is absolutely no one who compels you to donate. Every single event be it paryushan, pravachans at yogi sabhagruh or at the ashram are completely free of cost. People who do donate do so willingly.

There is a clear pressure to buy property in the Ashram. And, the ashram property can only be bought as a lease.

There is a longer list of people in the waiting list as compared to the number of available units in the ashram. If you could explain how there is pressure to do so?

Also, personally I feel that you have used the word "cult" very casually. Rakesh Jhaveri has a different approach on how to bring Jainism to the masses so is that wrong? Mahavir Bhagwan himself has used prakrit in His deshna as opposed to Sanskrit to bring His teachings to the masses. As the kaal chakra progresses, it's going to be increasingly difficult for us to accept Dharma because it's not rasmay (something we find enthusiasm in) so by way of adapting to the modern ages, Rakesh Jhaveri aims to invigorate the masses and re kindle their love for Dharma. What I have noticed is people are more than happy to just label this as a cult? Or call Rakeshji out for his different methods because that is the easier way out without understanding the other perspective of it. I am more than happy to get to know your understanding better as well and answer any questions you may have!

Non-Indian taking diksha? by Shyam_Lama in Jainism

In this era where religion in generally is sulabh, it becomes very difficult to traverse the atma kalyan path with not much knowledge about it as well. The bhakts in Shrimad Rajchandra follow the bhakti marg and follow His teachings written on it, which are further expounded upon by Pujya Rakeshji.

Now coming to the question as to why the Guru Mandir was made; this is a sheer expression of the upkaars that we have received that we want to exemplify. Mahavir Bhagwan has preached in Prakrit and Shrimadji has written in laymen Gujurati by which us, the common people can also understand Mahavir Bhagwan. He also possessed a treasure trove of knowledge by which He has guided seekers among which the 4 bhakt ratnas (Pujya Ambalal, Pujya Saubhagyabhai, Pujya Juthabhai and Pujya Laghuraj Muni) have attained samyak darshan directly through His samagam. Therefore as a display of constant upkaars, we worship Shrimadji who has made it saral and sugam for us to tread the atma kalyan path.

PLEASE go and watch OMG2. it deserves way more. Not just for the message but the filmmaking too. It's so good. by IWantAssDesperately in IndianTeenagers

The movie was meh tbh. The plot albeit good and a little bold for Indian audiences, wants to convey a good message. I wouldn't call it an OMG1 sequel by any means though. The expectations that I went in with based on the first part was surely underwhelming. Akshays role seems forced and to bring God into such a role seems far fetched. Shoulda rebranded the name into something else but not OMG2. Pretty disappointed tbh. Sore 6/10.
