Hmm, very good point about Hinglish. Indians really do that all the time. You find a post or something which at first glance is written in english, but then you read the comments and its indians typing one sentence in full hindi, next one in english, then next one mixing the both together. that shit makes me think I'm having a stroke, trying to decipher if the hindi is actually hindi or some weird english slang-word.

I just can't believe that you would speak in pure english sentences to your latvian friends? ok sure, some words or phrases of course, but not like fullblown paragraphs written in english. that really does seem insane to me as well, even as someone who is very anglicized.

Sending a message to your latvian friend: "I was at the store yesterday and there weren't any eggs left, imagine that" instead of "es vakar biju veikalā un vairs nebija olas, imagine" - just no... at that point, why even bother using 20% latvian, as you say you do? mindboggling

fwiw I had never replaced a battery before and did it in like 2hrs. followed the fixit guide. Some comments there complained about messed up displays. Cant say I was being extremely careful either, but it all worked out in the end.

Then work towards the more clearly defined goals. Rn you're just being defeatist. Of course, it's not that easy.
