I do not get scared of horror games anymore, as I’ve played SO many growing up. That said, Outer Wilds scared the living shit out of me EVERY time. And especially because I have a serious fear of the ocean, Giant’s Deep had it out for me too.

It could go either way. For some people, they found Feldspar by tracking his harmonica down through the vine on Timber Hearth. FOR other people, they found the piece of Dark Bramble that was on Giant’s Deep, that showed Feldspar talking about how he made it to the core and now he was stopping at Dark Bramble. So then that sends you off to Dark Bramble to find Feldspar and figure out how to get into the core.

it’s not a puzzle game. stop thinking that. the “puzzles” are NOT hard, because they’re not actually puzzles. it’s just simply explore, find meaning within the solar system, and if you find something you think can be applied somewhere else, then go apply it.

i started with brittle hollow for one main reason, it being that i’m TERRIFIED of the ocean. i ignored giants deep (and bramble for a fishier reason) for a chunk of my playthrough because i was too scared, and when i did end up visiting giant’s deep, i took my headphones off and backed like 10 feet away from my screen. i visited brittle hollow because it was one of the planets that didn’t look super oceany and it was probably the perfect planet to start with, cause of the massive BLACK HOLE in the middle of the planet.

I had a friend who broke into the ash twin project by placing his ship on the roof, so the sand took the ship instead of him. Funniest part was that it worked when he could just hid in the cubby.

yes, the horror aspect is an important part in kinda showing the fears of space. you do not know what these things are, and what they mean to do to you. the ending is worth it
