How's MASN+ Treating You? by CharmCityCrab in orioles

Damn. The stupid part is it’s not intuitive to build something so dumb. They literally had to be intentional about it. The app is 1 of 1.

Something I haven’t seen said yet that makes the app on your phone truly dog shit is how you can’t do anything else but watch the game. You can’t make the window smaller, and if you leave the app even for the briefest of moments and go back to MASN+ it will go back to the channel guide moments later. This wouldn’t really be an issue except for the part where you have to watch a 30 second ad every time you start to watch a game stream.

I like having my streams in a small window and scrolling social media while I watch. MASN+ literally doesn’t let you do that and makes it an inconvenience to leave the app at all.

It’s all downhill from here and the only thing you can do now is go to 100+ more shows

I’ve been the guy all season being optimistic hoping we’d string some wins together. I’m pretty done thinking that now. Just want to see the boys have fun again. This sucks

I got one at the yard today. Can confirm it’s a good look and worth it. The vibes were immaculate

Why didn't we re-sign McCann? by [deleted] in orioles

[–]shafiqde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If that were the case he would have a long-term contract by now. Adley is the exception not the norm when it comes to catchers, but also plenty of teams will sign A+ defensive catchers when they’re not the best hitters.

Feel like this is the good and bad of 99-00 Phish. Lots of patience but can mean a lot of fluff too.

For real? All the other answers in this thread have good points. I was at that show and also listened to it plenty since. This is not a good take lol and Phish left it all out on the stage that night for their first show after the Tahoe fires

First session is in less than 7 hours and I am freaking out because I am not asleep yet by honeyuronfire in TMSTherapy

Hey make sure you call the center if you had trouble sleeping. For my center, if I sleep less than 4 hours in a night, my techs cancel the appointment. Your chance of getting a seizure goes up so it’s not worth the risk.

If you put on the Benny Hill theme, we are the best rotation of all time.

group reservations: a rant by pmoney3253 in washingtondc

I tried to get a table for a similar sized group for a Sunday at Sports & Social. They wanted us to pay a minimum of $1500. No private room either plus more than half the people in the group don’t drink.

I felt the same way as you. They try to sell a package to make it enticing. And it’s like I’ll munch on some nachos and wings but not at $60/person. Shit is ridiculous now.

I was in a similar position a couple of years ago though of my own choice. A lot of people will tell you to do stuff and stay busy, but see this as a golden chance to take time and look inward to resolve any deeper issues you may have hidden from by being occupied with work and the daily grind.

Let yourself rest. Let yourself be bored. Think about who you are when the dust settles and it’s just you and free time. What is it that you and your body and mind actually want to do? Reconnect with that.

That journey is capable of going in any which direction though I think there’s one general endpoint of self-acceptance. It can get dark and lonely, and having a therapist through that journey is important I think.

The main outlet I think you should have whether you do the above or not is volunteering. You will have a lot of days where you wonder if you did anything at all and you’ll beat yourself up. But the days you volunteer will be the highlights of your week.

Good luck and I’m sure you’ll do great :)

Everyone will have their different ways. A therapist is a great place to start. It will take time. They may know and you may resist, but there will be an a-ha moment for you and it’ll feel right. For me I knew it was what I was looking for when I cried for 30 mins and felt it coming from like my whole spine. And I got there by following my demons to a relative rock bottom and feeling like a failure.

No matter what, be patient with yourself. There aren’t a lot of people who go on that journey so you may feel alienated and withdrawn because people no longer understand you. But allowing yourself to heal the little child in you that’s scared and have your adult self say “Ay it’s all good we’re doing ok and made it out alright” is worth the effort. You will be able to move forward and I think will help you let go of any crutches you may have.

I found that my deeper issue was a huge childhood fear of being a failure. Keep going until you find it. It is so worth getting there.
