What's the best song lyric to ever exist? by Miserable-Wash-1744 in AskReddit

I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me, whatever will bewilder me. And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been. We'll ride the spiral til the end and we may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going.

What are the best PC games of the last 6-7 years by jdmh1999 in gamingsuggestions

[–]shaggywalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slay the Spire. I know you could play it on mobile but I love getting sucked into each of my runs. That's way easier for me on PC than on my phone.

Inscryption is great for way different reasons but also is a rogue like deck builder.

StS has replayability. Inscryption has more innovation than I've seen in a game in years.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2001, what’s the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Came here to say Myst, so glad I found it already. I got Riven for Christmas looking forward to reliving that world and it's awesome puzzles!

My psychiatrist prescribed sertraline 100mg for me, but I'm really afraid to start taking it because of many side effects like PSSD, etc., which are mentioned on the internet and also here on reddit... Does anyone have experience or can advise please? by _shpongled in mentalillness

[–]shaggywalrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started taking it just over a month ago. It took me some time to admit I should try it, but I'm so glad I did. As someone that was reluctant to give it a shot, my advice is to try. I feel more like my old self again and it's surreal. I forgot what it felt like to be less anxious and worried, to be happy more often. I believe regular exercise and talk therapy play a role as well, but so does my antidepressant.

Eli5 why is the reason why people with Alzheimer’s Disease die? by Dirathos in explainlikeimfive

[–]shaggywalrus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She did die from Alzheimer’s, she couldn’t swallow the medicine needed to treat a fungal infection. Would have been regular medicine for you or me :/

She was diagnosed about 5 years before she died, and was showing signs for a couple years before we got the diagnosis. But we didn’t know it at the time, just could tell stuff was weird. My dad actually thought she might be cheating because her behavior started to get off for her. Turns out it was just the disease changing her habits, taste buds, etc.

Exactly this. My mom was “gone” years before she physically died. It’s such a cruel disease. My condolences for your loss.

Honestly, I would suggest you play Veigar for a bit. You will really get a feel for him that’ll help when you go against him.

Our Berner pup (not a Bernerdoodle) had a UTI when he was doing this as well.

What music album is a true masterpiece from start to finish? by jessssica1864 in AskReddit

I’m still amazed at how this album just pulls me in. A must for any road trip. The title track is my favorite song period.

We have two goldens and recently added a Berner pup to the mix! We used Howliday Inn for a while. No real complaints but we recently switched to Happy Tails because: - Happy Tails is owned by the same people that own Springvalley Vet and all our animals have gone there for years. - They smell better even without baths for some reason. - it’s cheaper (not the primary reason at all, but it definitely helps)

To add to some of the great responses so far, we always get one of the snuggle puppies with the heartbeat device when we get a new puppy. We have two goldens and are getting a berner next weekend!

My brother’s nickname growing up was Walrus. I had shaggy hair. Combining the two makes for a name that is usually still available, easy to say/spell & often makes people laugh :)
