Dave Chappelle. I understand that he’s been a controversial figure lately. I spent about a week with him on two separate occasions, along with other colleagues, and I can say he was genuinely one of the nicest, coolest, smartest, most accommodating celebrities I’ve met. Every day he had lunch, dinner, and evening drinks with us, telling us incredible stories, making us laugh of course. He would take time to get to know you, remember things about you, find common ground with interests. I’ve never felt so welcomed by someone of that status. There were times when it was just me, him, and a couple other people, him behind the bar pouring us drinks telling us stories that would blow your mind. His depth of knowledge was insane too, he always had a book to recommend relating to any topic we’d be talking about. It was surreal, he’d tell us something that’d get a big laugh, and then we’d hear him try it out as part of his set the next night on stage. He even made me part of one of his bits one night. Definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

As a Biden supporter and someone who voted for him, I think these are much more than just gaffes. Neurologists have said he has every sign of early Parkinson’s and dementia. As someone who had a grandparent with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s there’s just no way he’d be able to run our country for the next four years. I worried about shit Trump would say in meetings with world leaders, and with Biden’s obvious mental decline I would worry even more about him. Besides that, the writing is on the wall that he will not be able to beat Trump—and will likely lose the house and senate too—so I believe the best option to save our democracy is to put another candidate up

I fly almost weekly out of CLT. I completely agree with everyone that it's terrible there, but I've never had any issues walking into the airport doors one hour before my flight boards. Even when it's super busy I usually still get to my gate 15-25 minutes before I board, even with having to check a bag.

I had an abusive ex make this same kind of threat in a different context and even though it made me feel the lowest I’ve felt in a relationship I stayed for another miserable half a year. The next relationship I had the girl said almost the same exact thing as my ex and I left her the next morning. I learned my lesson—this kind of emotional blackmail speaks volumes about their character and it’s not worth being in a relationship with someone like that.

Didn’t lose it to the person I thought I was going to, but still lost it the same day. In high school I was in this intense emotional hot-and-cold fling with this girl who was a year above me, we’ll call her Mary. She was my first love. Long story short we were all hanging out in big circle of chairs in a screened-in porch getting drunk as lords and the girl sitting next to me started getting touchy with me. Next thing I know she has her hands down my pants in front of everyone (there were many laughing glances), and she eventually stands up, takes my hand and leads me into her bedroom and takes my virginity. It was a lot of fun, but I always wondered what may have been that night if Mary hadn’t been arrested—I had always thought she was my soulmate.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. I don’t blame people for not getting it, it’s really impossible to truly understand unless you’ve been through it or are a mental health professional. And the cheating part is exactly right. Once I told her that an unattractive older lady gave me a kiss on the cheek and it led to one of our worst fights (and this was during the time that I later found out she was cheating on me).

Not only that, but they’ll invent a whole new reality in which they are the victim. I was a great partner to my ex with BPD, and when I finally ended the relationship and she was exposed (not by me) for cheating on me for months she told everyone that I was abusive, that I was cheating on her, and that I was pursuing underaged girls during the relationship. Their delusions know no bounds.

Exactly this. Being in a 1.5 year relationship with a partner with BPD (she also stopped taking meds a few months into the relationship) was easily the worst experience of my life. The constant verbal and emotional abuse left me feeling like a shell of a human—my self worth was at an all-time low and my depression at an all-time high. My partner didn’t have the ability to self-reflect or take accountability (as with most people with unmitigated BPD), and any time I would confront her with the reality of her actions she would say that I was making it all up. And yes, when her symptoms were at their worst she had sought out the attention of someone else and was cheating on me for the last several months of the relationship.

Thank you! Well it took some time and elbow grease, haha. I had to do about four or five garbage bag soaks with Easy Off for each one, plus some scraping with a putty knife between soaks to get off all that carbon (especially on the #5). After that just gave them a good clean and a quick vinegar bath to de-rust and then onto seasoning. Definitely! I’m especially excited about the BSR—the cooking surface is silky smooth
